El cantante de The Miracles, Warren 'Pete' Moore muere a los 78 años

El talento vocal, conocido por cantar junto a Smokey Robinson en la banda de los años 50 The Miracles, murió el domingo . El fundador de Motown Records, Berry Gordy, confirma las noticias en un comunicado.


«Going to a Go-Go» es un sencillo de 1965 , grabado por The Miracles,  para el sello Tamla de Motown. 
Lanzada en diciembre de 1965, alcanzó el puesto número 11 en el Billboard Hot 100 en Estados Unidos , y el puesto número dos en el Billboard Hot R&B. Fue el quinto sencillo de la banda,  en vender un millón de copias


«Going to Go-Go» fue versionada por The Rolling Stones,  y fue incluida en su álbum en vivo Still Life de 1982.
 Lanzada como el primer sencillo del álbum, la versión de The Rolling  Stones,  alcanzó el número 26 en las listas británicas , y el número 25 en los Estados Unidos. Tanto el sencillo como el álbum , fueron lanzados en el medio de la gira europea de la banda en 1982. 
Otras versiones de la canción , están incluidas en los álbumes Live at Leeds y Hampton Coliseum de la banda


The Miracles singer Warren 'Pete' Moore dies aged 78

The vocal talent, known for singing alongside Smokey Robinson in the 1950s band The Miracles, died on Sunday. Motown Records founder Berry Gordy confirms the news in a statement.


"Going to a Go-Go" is a 1965 single, recorded by The Miracles, for the Tamla label of Motown.
Launched in December 1965, it reached number 11 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States, and number two on the Billboard Hot R & B. It was the fifth single of the band, in selling a million copies


"Going to Go-Go" was covered by The Rolling Stones, and was included in their live album Still Life from 1982. 
Launched as the first single from the album, the Rolling Stones version reached number 26 on the British charts , and number 25 in the United States. Both the single and the album, were released in the middle of the European tour of the band in 1982. 
Other versions of the song, are included in the albums Live at Leeds and Hampton Coliseum of the band.
