New documentary about Richards: " Keith Richards - The Origin Of The Species"

Julien Temple to direct Keith Richards doc for BBC

Keef said: "There was a feeling late 50s/early 60s that there was a change coming". Tribu Magazine

Then, in September, Richards will select documentaries, films and live performances that will air over two nights. Richards is still touring with the Rolling Stones, who celebrated their 50th anniversary in 2013 and show no signs of slowing down, planning to release their first new album in 11 years later in November. Temple said the 60-minute documentary would explore how both Richards "and the '60s in England came about". Keith Richards will be the subject of the BBC2 documentary, narrating his childhood and the effects of growing up in post-war Britain. Richards was enticed to do the project to emphasize the winds of change in pop-culture society after WWII; "Harold Macmillan actually said it - "The winds of change" and all that - but he didn't mean it in quite the same way. I felt a new way of living emerging, a new kind of person becoming possible - something I wanted to be a part of", Temple said in a statement. I certainly felt that my generation and what was happening and the feeling in the air was it's time to push limits.

Documentaries, films and live performances, all with an introduction from the Rolling Stones rocker explaining the reasons behind his selections. The Origin of the Species will tell the story of how the musician escaped certain-death during the Second World War when a direct hit during a bombing raid sprayed his cot with bricks and mortar. Temple has also directed a new documentary about Richards, Keith Richards - The Origin Of The Species.

His film for BBC2 will be a fascinating exploration into the post-war years, how they impacted both his life and others and influenced the '60s and the decades that followed. "And his curated weekend of programmes for BBC4 will be a thrilling musical journey for viewers - giving an extraordinary and unique insight into Keith's passions and inspirations". Keith Richards - The Origin Of The Species will be exec produced by Jane Rose for Nitrate Films. "I know it will be a totally original experience".

The cultural Brexit: The Rolling Stones will ask "work permit"

The Brexit strongly hits, to the waterline of British hegemony in art, music or movies. British intellectuals fear a contraction of the market, leaving the EU

We can not know what would have voted John Donne, before the tomb of Brexit, but most famous verse, the great Elizabethan poet, ( "No man is an island", ie, "No man is an island entire of itself") it has served as a slogan, for British artists and intellectuals, supporters of stay in the European Union. And since a date for the referendum was placed, culture has taken sides and has done so for the "Remain", aware that the EU, provided a broader, varied and advantageous for British arts market. The list of personalities of culture, against Brexit is long. Among the most famous they are: Daniel Craig, Ken Loach, Anish Kapoor, Vivienne Westwood, Danny Boyle, Ian McEwan, Jude Law, Franz Ferdinand, Jogn le Carré and Stephen Frears. The last to speak out, members of the eternal rival gangs refrencia the "Britpop": Blur and Oasis. In the end, the output of mainland policy has been consummated and although supporters of Brexit, champion the need to recover commercial sovereignty, to enhance the local economy, expectations for music, film, art and the market British publisher, may not be so rosy, precisely because of the abandonment of the Community market, and its many benefits, in terms of rights, licenses, taxes, and a host of legal and bureaucratic aspects. United Kingdom has chosen to be an "island itself" and its economic and cultural hegemony, may pay dearly in almost all areas.

MUSIC

Nobody is aware that British music is, along with the US, the world's most powerful industry. That is due to the hegemony of their language and tradition, but also to the intelligent management of them. According to a report Ticketbis.com, this situation could be threatened by the variation in "legal aspect, bureaucratic and economic" Brexit derivatives. "For example She points to the report, British musicians such as Mick Jagger, for example they may need work permit to work in a European country. "Interestingly, to date, the British group did not need these permissions, while other European artists had to have him, to act in the UK. in addition, there is a real threat of a possible increase in the price of disks, and merchandising, "which are now exempt from VAT and customs duties." a likely rise, prices of flights affect the musical tourism, this flood of young people who have London and the British festivals such as Mecca. This situation is especially dire for groups midrange, or lower, dependent on the joints. "the European Union concludes the report, provides a framework solid legal, beneficial to the music industry, orders and simplifies legal issues such as copyright ". But that will no longer be part of Britain.

FILM, TV AND THEATER

In the last 7 years to 32 million euros from the European Union, they have gone to film and television projects. That money, of course, will no longer flow into the UK, when their separation from the rest of Europe is consumed. And with him will evaporate, numerous initiatives, unless the British Government will supply it with new economic efforts. The actors have been one of the guilds, which has been mobilized to a greater extent, aware that the world of cinema, television and walk towards integration among countries. Indeed, co-productions, provided by the framework of the EU, will be severely affected. The BECTU employer, which defends the interests of broadcasting, film, theater and entertainment in the UK, has been outspoken against Brexit, on the basis that "our industry benefits greatly from the protection of the EU, so we believe that our partners will be at a serious disadvantage with other countries if Britain is at the expense of international trade laws. " In the case of film, the blow could come not only from the loss of business, in Europe itself, but from the United States, which annually injects money in British productions, being "an attractive destination access across Europe ". As for the theater, in addition to the decline, they may experience, for a possible bajon tourism, co-productions between countries, increasingly common, depend on a complex legal framework, and less advantageous than today. The writer and critic Rupert Christiansen, as exemplified in this way in "The Telegraph": "The type of 'europrogramación', defended by the Barbican Center, with Juliette Binoche, in a co-produced and directed by a Dutch Greek tragedy, with a resident orchestra in Leipzig, would probably be too cumbersome administratively to be viable. " Intellectual property and copyright also experience changes, he adds.

ARTS

Museums and galleries are also the expectation of what might happen in the coming years. Cooperation in the field of art, has narrowed in recent years, within Europe, for example, donations from showrooms, will be more complicated (and therefore expensive) with the new customs conditions, and UK output, the established community programs and subsidized. The money for restoration projects, also remains in limbo. The art market will also depend on the new rate policy, and export and import licenses. Although some experts believe that London could compete more directly with New York or Hong Kong, in terms of sales and auctions, fear the flight of European capital, the uncertainty of the legal framework and transaction costs, can depress the sector.

TOURISM

Nobody knows how it can affect the new geopolitical framework to tourism, but it seems that one thing is clear: the flight prices will rise. That, coupled with that visa is required to enter the country (all these assumptions are to be negotiated) could seriously hit the whole family largely dependent foreign visitors: museums, concerts, shows ... There is one adventure that London, certainly an essential cultural and entertainment capital could lose a lot worse, especially among young people. Will Berlin New London?

CREATIVITY

Brexit's debate has been primarily economic and also largely social through the immigration problem. But some voices have been raised to claim that intangible something, we might call "creativity" and that, they argue, it would be given contact with other nations, other sensitivities and other races. For these critics, all British culture, lost by the mere fact of an upper frame break off and navel gazing. Hence, the motto of Donne ( "No man is an island"), or references in the British press to Bowie, who spent three key years in his musical maturity, at the Berlin separated from 70. Brexit, say it will impoverish the long run, no longer the market but the cultural mindset of the British own.
