Nos habìan contratado para dar un concierto en el Co-op Ballroom, en Nuneaton, la noche del 15 de Noviembre de 1963, pero antes de eso teníamos que hacer otra actuación a las 17.45 horas, algo que llamaban su sesiòn juvenil. Aqui, nos enfrentamos a una sala llena de niños de seis a diez años de edad, que estaban en medio de su té de la tarde . No les gustó el R&B y los pequeños tunantes se dedicaron a lanzarnos pasteles de crema durante todo nuestro espectáculo. "

Construido en 1938 por "Nuneaton Co-operative Society", que en ese momento era una empresa local un gran éxito con más de 19 mil miembros. El Art Deco Co-op Hall, en Queens Road Nuneaton, fue un magnífico salón de baile en sus primeros días y tiene preciosos recuerdos de innumerables parejas de enamorados en la post-guerra. En su apogeo fue el musical de La Meca de la zona. Era un lugar glorioso en el que dos generaciones de Nuneatonians conoció y se enamoró, la realización de los bailes en la pista de baile maravillosamente elástica hecha de madera de roble. El 5 de octubre 1962, acogió El Beatles, que fueron el acto apoyo a Tanya Día yVampires la. Los Rolling Stones sacudieron el lugar el 15 de noviembre de 1963. Ellos jugaron dos conciertos ese día en Nuneaton .Entre otras bandas de los años 60 para jugar el lugar fueron The Hollies, The Troggs, The Who

Bill Wyman says in "Stone Alone" (page number 200):

"And life on the road has its moments of fun. We had hired to givea concert at the Co-op Ballroom in Nuneaton, the night ofNovember 15, 1963, but before that we had to do another showat 1745 hours, something called session youth. Here, we face a room full of children six to ten years of age who were in the middle of their afternoon tea. they did not like the R & B and the little rascals were devoted to plunge cream cakes during ourshow. "

Built in 1938 by the Nuneaton Co-operative Society, which at the time was a very successful local enterprise with over 19 thousand members. The Art Deco Co-op Hall, in Queens Road Nuneaton, was a magnificent ballroom in its early days and holds precious memories for countless courting couples in post-war Nuneaton. In its heyday it was the musical Mecca of the area. It was a glorious place where two generations of Nuneatonians met and fell in love, performing the latest dances on its wonderfully springy dance floor made of polished oak. On October 5, 1962, it played host to The Beatles, who were the support act to Tanya Day and the Vampires. The Rolling Stones rocked the venue on November 15, 1963. They played two shows that day in Nuneaton . Among other bands of the 60s to play the venue were The Hollies, The Troggs, The Who.
