20 years ago: The Rolling Stones filled with "Satisfaction" at the River Plate Stadium , for the first time

After 33 years, waiting for his arrival, three generations of Argentines, raved with a spectacular show

The River Plate stadium was completely dark, at 21.33 pm. Then, the giant tower, shaped charges, which crowned the gigantic stage, it started to glow and after a powerful beams of red and green lights, pointing to the public, they were wrapped in an ovation that took 33 years to explode the Rolling Stones.

Lovely hosts delirium, the voice of Mick Jagger (red shirt and jacket, vest and black pants, sensuality intact at 51 years) ripped "Note Fade Away" while Keith Richards, shelled his legendary guitar, swaying his body with a cigarette in mouth. Behind them, Ron Wood and Charlie Watts, supported with their guitar and drums, the first item of the rock band, largest in the world. It was what, the 60,000 spectators who were compressed into the stadium, waiting to see and hear and yet, time not quite believe. The field was a compact, undulating carpet which shook with the Stone music, the soundtrack, the film three generations: grandparents, parents and children, beating the same pulse.

After the second song (Tumblin 'Dice) Jagger said in Spanish: "Welcome to Voodoo Lounge Tour", referring to the last album and tour name. The gorges responded with an endless greeting.
They continued "You Got Me Rockin`", "It`s All Over Now" Undercover (in the Night), a song dedicated to the missing of Latin America, which was preceded by a paragraph in Spanish Jagger, who was somewhat confused: "We expect three years, thanks for coming." A 35 minutes into the show, the first blow to the heart "(I Can not Get No) Satisfaction" an earthquake that spilled on the neighborhood of Nuñez, chanted the crowd.

Then the ballad Out of Tears caused the ignition of tens of thousands of lighters. Charlie Watts, meanwhile, still harping on the battery from a mobile platform, advancing or retreating, according to the theme. Watts was enclosed between two acoustic glass panels. In one, the drummer, had stuck a paper with the setlist, making clear its misiòn, marking the rhythmic pulse of the band, supported by Darryl Jones, Bill Wyman's replacement, who left the band in 1992.
Lighters went out, but only a few seconds. Because once the first chords of "Angie", the classic stainless turned the stadium into a giant, tune and emotional chorus were heard.

At 22.45 hours, when the show averaged, Mick Jagger presented to each of the band members, including supporting musicians: Chuck Leavell on keyboards, Bobby Keys on sax, Lisa Fischer, Bernard Fowler, Blondie Chaplin ... in turn, Ronnie Wood was responsible for introducing the singer, who along with Keith Richards, the longest night ovation.

But the peak of emotion came with "Brown Sugar", whose end, the typical song: "yeah, yeah, yeah, hu!" I was chanted throughout the stadium and directed by Mick Jagger. No respite started the devastating "Jumpin Jack Flash", in which Jagger, the shirt was removed and it started to whizzed over his head, while the entire audience imitated, creating a sea of propellers. Then they opened the sides of the stage, like dancing waters, silver fireworks. The last chord and greeting all the musicians, to make way for the four legendary Stones, who hugged goodbye to the crowd. There were bisces, but yes a heaven, it dawned magnetically, for the purposes of the tremendous fireworks.
So he went extinguishing the fire, the first of five nights ablaze to Buenos Aires, with the legend of the Rolling Stones

(risas) KEITH RICHARDS
" ¿ Pasò algo mientras no estàbamos ? " (risas) MICK JAGGER

In Argentina:  one day dreams are reality! . The Rolling Stones in Buenos Aires. Press conference at the Hyatt Hotel (8 February 1995)

We really want to play, we were told that here people are bàrbara, hopefully shows are to your liking and enjoy plus some libresque days we stay in Buenos Aires. in case you still do not know Telling them will quew shows 9, 11, 12, 14 and 16 February at the River Plate stadium. "MICK JAGGER

"Being a Rolling Stone in the nineties coming to Argentina, reminds me of being a Rolling Stone in the sixties, when there was a lot of mess around, it was fun and I guess now". MICK JAGGER

"This year is very special and different from others because we are playing in places we've never played before, is very good to meet new people." KEITH RICHARDS

"If you have bootlegs means that anyone bothers to one's work. So it's important to have them" (laughs). MICK JAGGER

"In the 60s we were still many women but now there are many guys ....." (laughs) KEITH RICHARDS
"Did something happen while we were gone?" (Laughs) MICK JAGGER

"I went for a walk, I was sitting in bars and drink vì some Argentine women, but always behind the window of a bar". MICK JAGGER

"The shows so far have been wonderful but what I gustòde this tour was the second show we did in Rio de Janeiro, was very exciting Regarding recording the tour, yes;. Recorded in Miami, San Pablo and surely, we will record any of the shows here and maybe after sometime we edit the material. "MICK JAGGER

"The difference in touch with Bill Wyman and Daryll Jones is that one is white and one is black" (laughs) CHARLIE WATTS

Rolling Stones en Argentina. Promesas incumplidas? diferencias entre los productores locales: Fénix, Time For Fun y DG.

Rolling Stones in Argentina. Broken Promises? differences between local producers: Fenix, Time For Fun and DG.

The fourth visit of the Rolling Stones to Buenos Aires reveals local producers: Fenix, Time For Fun and DG. "It will be in the second half of this year," says DiegoFinkelstein, Fenix, the production concrete possibly in September or November.

In May last year,  Daniel Grinbank, which brought in 1995, 1998 and 2006, said he was "optimistic" to produce the Argentine section of the "Stones On Fire tour", which could be the last. But since then, things changed: Grinbank, he ran the operation to Argentina, and Phoenix made a better offer. But the show, it would be this month, was canceled. Then South America, was postponed in the group calendar. "The snare is a lie," said Mario Pergolini air, estranged from Fenix by trade issues. "It was an excessive supply (...) When they joined, they realized that they could not afford it."

Fernando Moya, director of Time For Fun, says: "There was a compromise, but Fenix failed to comply have to see how much interest have the Stones, in working with those who did not meet them.".
