The Rolling Stones en Argentina .

The Rolling Stones in Argentina. Daniel Grinbank: details about his relationship with the band members and the country visit

The man, who goes only to bar Barracas, in a cold Buenos Aires noon, is the same, you knew how to stop Mick Jagger, before his last visit to Argentina with the Rolling Stones, to say he was not willing to produce their shows, if he persisted with them in the River Plate Stadium. .

Daniel Grinbank is called. He is 62 years old. Two children. One of 31, Frederick, from a previous marriage, and a six, Stephanie (who insists on being called Annie), with her partner of 18 years, actress Andrea Pietra.

The producer Daniel Grinbank responsible for all visits of the Rolling Stones, said that "no organized more concerts in football stadiums, while the hooligans maintain their current status quo."

Tired of dealing with neighborhoods that take over clubs, Grinbank persuaded the Rolling Stones, to act in the Unico Stadium of La Plata , and now the Bue Festival held in the premises of Technopolis. On the hooligans  and the role of the entrepreneur, Grinbank said:

How did you convince the Rolling Stones, performing the show, the Unico stadium of La Plata? and how much influence the violence of the  hooligans, which handle football stadiums?

DG: 'I would do more extensive. I do concerts in football clubs, while hooligans, maintain their current status quo. This ranges from the smallest club, or River Plate, is not exclusive to them. It is a scourge, Argentine football, has a very important to resolve unfinished business and I feel that with the operation of the bars today, it is very difficult to ensure security in a show, because in reality, they are lords and masters stadiums, despite the leaders, who are usually victims of a system. I stood firm, never going back to do a show at the River Plate Stadium, and much had to watch the events, with the hot gas in the Copa Libertadores, Boca on the court. They sent the tape and saw that there were 200 hooligans in the stands, and that the players of River Plate, had to spend two hours in the field without being able to dislodge them, which showed the true power of these groups against reality. It was thought that when the visiting supporters were banned, it would end the problem, but further aggravated. There is a tendency to move from football clubs. It becomes very difficult to work, if you want to do it seriously. I prefer to go for a calm and ensure the safety of the shows. And it works very well, Unico Stadium of La Plata, workers have excellent predisposition.

Why, there were many twists and turns, with the last visit?

I had put me very hard, I was not going to work in club football stadiums, on the issue of hooligans. And Jagger wanted to do the shows at the River Plate Stadium. I could not guarantee security. After many incidents of violence, the Rolling Stones heard, I got right. And shows the Unico Stadium of La Plata were immaculate.

Already you generated a personal relationship with the Rolling Stones?

What if. While I'm a measured kind of walk is not bothering the artists or invade them after bringing them many years, and several countries (in the last South American tour I was involved in almost all shows) and there is a personal relationship. Especially with Keith Richards, whom he produced his Argentine debut in 1992.
