Mientras se produce , la histórica visita del Presidente Estadounidense Barack Obama a Cuba, a partir de la reanudación de las relaciones diplomáticas, entre ambos países, la ciudad de La Habana, tiene todo listo para , el show gratuito del próximo viernes de Los Rolling Stones, en la Ciudad Deportiva, en el cierre del América Latina Olé Tour 2016, en lo que será un hito , en la extensa trayectoria de la banda, y para la cultura de la nación caribeña.
“El concierto en La Habana será sorprendente , y los asistentes nunca volverán a ver algo así. En Cuba nunca se volverá a ver algo como lo que sucederá en el concierto. Será un show impresionante. No habrá teloneros ni invitados. Los Stones tendrán la noche para ellos solos ”, afirmó el director de la producción del espectáculo, Dale Skjerseth, en declaraciones a los medios locales.
Al respecto, el productor , quien trabaja con la banda desde 1995, bromeó al exclamar que: “al parecer el presidente Obama es nuestro telonero”, en alusión a la visita oficial , del mandatario norteamericano.
Además, aseguró que el grupo espera superar el récord de espectadores del 18 de febrero de 2006, cuando cerca de un millón y medio de personas, disfrutó de un concierto gratuito en las playas de Copacabana, en Río de Janeiro.
El mítico grupo británico, al confirmar la realización de este recital a través de su sitio web, expresó: “Hemos actuado en muchos lugares especiales a lo largo de nuestra larga carrera, pero este show en La Habana , será un hito para nosotros y esperamos que también para todos nuestros amigo en Cuba”.
El contacto del productor con la prensa local, se produjo en momentos en que se realizó un recorrido por el predio en donde se erige, un escenario de 80 metros de largo, 56 de ancho , y 20 de altura, con unas diez pantallas , dispuestas a lo largo del terreno.
Los cubanos lograron despejar las dudas , acerca de si la banda, montaría un espectáculo similar , al realizado en las otras paradas de "América Latina Olé Tour", por tratarse de un show gratuito, al recibir en la isla los 61 contenedores, y el avión de carga Boeing 747, con todo los elementos necesarios para el armado.
“Nosotros hemos traído todo. A los Stones les gusta viajar con todo el equipamiento”, apuntó Skjerseth, quien anticipó que el recital arrancará a las 20.30, y se extenderá por unas dos horas y cuarto, con posibilidades de que se alargue por los bises.
“Si se extiende, será solo decisión de la banda. Ellos le hablarán a los roqueros cubanos y al público desde el escenario, con su música. Será algo impresionante”, añadió.
La organización del concierto, para el que se espera que se acerque gente de distintos puntos del planeta, comenzó hace alrededor de seis meses , e incluyó negociaciones del propio Mick Jagger , con autoridades del Gobierno cubano de Raúl Castro.
Incluso, los miembros de la banda, postergaron sus vacaciones y dejaron algunos espacios en su hoja de ruta para poder incluir esta fecha en La Habana. Por este motivo, el América Latina Olé Tour, que comenzó en febrero en Santiago de Chile, tuvo tres noches en el Estadio Único de La Plata, pasó por Montevideo, ciudades de Brasil, Bogotá, Lima y el DF mexicano, no sumó más shows de los previstos en un primer momento.
La experiencia del armado del concierto, resultó tan novedosa para los organizadores cubanos , como para los asistentes de la banda, quienes trabajaron codo a codo para montar toda la parafernalia, que rodea a un show de esta magnitud.
“Cuba nos abrió la puertas desde el principio. Hemos recibido todo el apoyo de las autoridades cubanas y ha sido un desafío aprender , y enseñar a las personas cómo trabajamos”, apuntó Skjerseth.
En tanto, ya se informó que el recital no será transmitido por televisión, debido a que no lo permiten los derechos de imagen de la banda, pero el show será grabado por varias cámaras y no se descarta que ese material sea usado para una película o documental.
En un principio, la fecha de realización del recital iba a ser el domingo 20 de marzo, pero la visita de Obama obligó a reprogramar para el viernes 25.
De esta manera, los Stones sumarán a su larga lista de logros profesionales, el hecho de ser la primera gran banda de rock , en realizar un concierto masivo en la Isla, tras el levantamiento de las restricciones impuestas por Estados Unidos durante más de medio siglo.
