Simplemente : The Rolling Stones! show sorpresa en el Fonda Theatre

Sólo cinco días antes de comenzar la gira Zip Code, un rumor comenzó a correr por las calles de Los Ángeles: los Rolling Stones se preparaban para brindar un concierto sorpresa, en el Fonda Theatre. Hablamos de un concierto con tickets a cinco dólares (escalaron hasta 900 en la reventa) , en una sala relativamente pequeña con capacidad para unos setecientos espectadores.

Anoche, finalmente, sucedió. Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ron Wood y Charlie Watts subieron al escenario y abrieron fuego con el clásico “Start me up”. Luego, después de calentar motores con “When the whip comes down” y “All down the line”, se metieron de lleno con Sticky Fingers: el disco de 1971 que se encuentran a punto de reeditar y será el núcleo de su nuevo tour.

Just five days before the Zip Code tour, a rumor began to run through the streets of Los Angeles: the Rolling Stones were preparing to give a surprise concert at the Fonda Theatre. We talked about a concert with tickets for five dollars (climbed to 900 on resale), in a relatively small room for up to seven hundred spectators.

Last night, finally, it happened. Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ron Wood and Charlie Watts took the stage and opened fire with the classic "Start me up". Then after heat engines "When the Whip Comes Down" and "All down the line," they got filled with Sticky Fingers: the 1971 album that are about to reissue and will be the core of his new tour.

Surrounded by a long list of celebrities that included Jack Nicholson, Bruce Willis, Harry Styles, Kesha, Leonard Cohen, Patricia Arquette and Steven Van Zandt, the band toured the album and some aces up its sleeve saved for last: "Jumpin 'Jack Flash" and a tribute to BB King with his version of "Rock me baby".
