El conocido documentalista Albert Maysles, ha fallecido por causas naturales a los 88 años de edad. El creador de Gimme Shelter, obra que siguió a los Rolling Stones , en su gira de 1970, fue encontrado muerto ayer en su hogar en Manhattan, según informa BBC.
En palabras de su familia, Maysles ha sido "creador de películas rompedoras, inspirando a cineastas y tocando a todos con su humanidad, su presencia y su creencia en el poder del amor".
Entre su hermano David -fallecido en 1987- y él , suman una filmografía de más de 50 obras, recogiendo fragmentos de las vidas de Jaqueline Kennedy, Marlon Brando y Truman Capote, entre otros. Nominados al Oscar a mejor corto documental en 1974 y ganadores de un Emmy en 1985, son considerados ejemplos ,a seguir en el mundo de la no-ficción por su manera de tratar los escenarios y la narracion en sus historias.

The documentarian Albert Maysles, died of natural causes at 88 years of age. The creator of Gimme Shelter, work that followed the Rolling Stones on their 1970 tour, was found dead yesterday at his home in Manhattan, according to BBC.
In the words of his family, Maysles has been "creator of groundbreaking films inspire filmmakers and touching everyone with his humanity, his presence and his belief in the power of love."
Among his brother David, who died in 1987 and he added a filmography of over 50 works, collecting fragments of the lives of Jaqueline Kennedy, Marlon Brando and Truman Capote, among others.
