Karl Denson replaces Bobby Keys, to join "14 On Fire Tour"
Karl Denson will join the Rolling Stones on saxophone for nine shows in Australia and New Zealand on their 14 On Fire tour. The shows start on 25 October in Adelaide and run into late November.
The acclaimed american reedman and bandleader is best known for fronting the prolific touring juggernaut, Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, who regularly perform over 150 shows a year. Their most recent album, New Ammo, was released in April 2014. In addition, Denson is one of the founding members of seminal boogaloo revivalists, The Greyboy Allstars. .
“It’s the opportunity of a lifetime, the chance to see the world through a giant pair of lips,” says Denson about his upcoming shows with The Rolling Stones. “It’s going to be amazing to get even closer to this music that I have listened to all my life.”
