Los Rolling Stones han anunciado que encabezará el Festival Pinkpop en Holanda (7 de junio) y el Festival CLÁSICO TW en Bélgica (28 de junio) en el marco de su 14 On Tour FUEGO.(detalles de ambos festivales)
La banda estará tocando shows más importantes en Europa en mayo y junio, y éstos se darán a conocer en las próximas dos semanas.
Pinkpop Festival ( detalles)
El festival de música Pinkpop, también conocido como Pinkpop Festival, es un festival de rock anual que se realiza en Landgraaf, Países Bajos. Junto a Ruisrock y Glastonbury, es el festival a cielo abierto más antiguo del mundo. Este festival se celebra en el Pentecostés (Pinksteren en neerlandés, de ahí su nombre). En 1970, el primer Pinkpop Festival de la historia se dio lugar en Geleen y se realizó solo el lunes de esa semana.
Hoy en día, el festival dura 3 días, desde el sábado hasta el lunes, y es visitado por 60.000 personas por día aproximadamente, con actuaciones en 3 escenarios separados. En 35 años, un millón y medio de personas ha asistido al Pinkpop. En él se han realizado más de 500 conciertos musicales.
En 1994 (la vigésimo quinta edición) se decidió vender solo 60.000 boletos, para prevenir el exceso de público debido a la popularidad que alcanzó el festival. En 1995 se convirtió en un festival de dos días. Dos años más tarde, en 1997, su duración se amplió a tres días.
Desde 2007 se realiza también, más avanzado el año, el Pinkpop Classic, para una audiencia más adulta, con bandas que han actuado en décadas pasadas en el lugar.
En 2008 Pinkpop no se realizó en el fin de semana de Pentecostés (por primera vez en su historia) debido a que éste ocurría muy temprano ese año.
TW CLASSIC Festival (detalles)
Rock Werchter es un festival de música anual bellga celebrado en la localidad de Werchter , cerca de Lovaina , desde 1976. Es uno de los cinco mayores festivales anuales de rock de Europa (los otros cuatro son Exit , Sziget Festival , el Festival de Glastonbury y Roskilde Festival ). Los festivales de 2003, 2005, 2006, 2007 y 2012 recibieron el premio Arthur al mejor festival del mundo en la Conferencia Internacional de Música en vivo (ILMC). Puede alojar a 85.000 personas al día, de los cuales 67.000 se combinan los cuatro días, para añadir hasta un máximo total de 139.000 asistentes diferentes.
El festival se inició en 1974 como un evento de un día con las actuaciones de Banzai y Kandahar, pero con el paso de los años ha evolucionado hasta convertirse en el festival de música más grande de Bélgica. Originalmente se trataba de una fiesta de matrimonio, llamado "Torhout-Werchter", con dos áreas del festival en diferentes sitios en Bélgica: una en Werchter y uno en Torhout . En 1999, el festival se redujo el sitio Torhout y desde entonces ha tenido lugar sólo en Werchter. Desde 2003 Werchter ha sido un festival de 4 días, ya que fue vendido por el propietario Herman Schueremans los organizadores estadounidenses Live Nation . Schueremans sin embargo sigue siendo el principal organizador del evento. The Rolling Stones have today announced that they will headline the Pinkpop Festival in Holland on Saturday 7 June and the TW CLASSIC Festival in Belgium on Saturday 28 June as part of their 14 ON FIRE tour.
The band will be playing more major shows in Europe in May and June, and these will be announced over the next two weeks.

Pinkpop music festival , also known as Pinkpop Festival, is an annual rock festival that takes place in Landgraaf , Netherlands. Alongside Ruisrock and Glastonbury, the festival is the world's oldest open. This festival is celebrated on Pentecost ( Pinksteren in Dutch , hence the name). In 1970 , the first Pinkpop Festival history took place in Geleen and was held only on Monday of that week .

TW CLASSIC Festival (details)
Rock Werchter is a Belgian annual music festival held in the village of Werchter, near Leuven, since 1976. It is one of the five biggest annual rock music festivals in Europe (the other four being Exit, Sziget Festival, the Glastonbury Festival and Roskilde Festival). The 2003, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2012 festivals received the Arthur award for best festival in the world at the International Live Music Conference (ILMC). It can host 85,000 guests daily, of which 67,000 combine all four days, to add up to a total maximum of 139,000 different attendees.
The festival started in 1974 as a one-day event with performances from Banzai and Kandahar, but over the years it has evolved to become Belgium's largest music festival. Originally it was a double-festival, called "Torhout-Werchter", with two festival areas at different sites in Belgium: one in Werchter and one in Torhout. In 1999, the festival dropped the Torhout site and since then has taken place only in Werchter. Since 2003 Werchter has been a 4-day festival, as it was sold by owner Herman Schueremans to American organizers Live Nation. Schueremans however remains the main organiser of the event. The festival is organised every first weekend of the summer vacation in Belgium (last weekend of June or the first of July). Roskilde festival and the Arras Main Square Festival are almost always organised in the same weekend, so they can 'share' bands. Sometimes, the Glastonbury Festival is organised at the same weekend, but most years it is organised a weekend earlier.
In recent years, there has been controversy about rising ticket prices. Because of this, Schueremans was heckled during an appearance on HUMO's Pop Poll, a Belgian alternative award show. At 200 EUR for four days (18 EUR extra to include camping or 25 euro for xl-camping) in 2012 it is still considered a relatively inexpensive music festival.
The camping sites officially open at 8am on the first day of the festival, but because of guests arriving early and camping on the street, the organizers have traditionally been forced to open the camping sites early - sometimes more than 24 hours. The campsites are located along the three main entrance roads into Werchter (from Haacht, Aarschot and Leuven), most of them within 1 kilometer of the festival site but some located as far as 3 kilometers away. In 2011, for the first time, XL camping tickets are available, allowing festival goers to arrive and camp from 4pm on the Wednesday before the festival.
Until the 1990s the festival attracted mostly Flemish people, but in recent years it has become more and more international with an especially large influx of Dutch, French, Walloon, British and a notable Australian and South African contingent
