Libro Stone: "Gus & Yo: La historia de mi abuelo y mi primera guitarra" por Keith Richards. (detalles del libro)

Keith Richards publicará un libro para niños sobre sus primeros pasos en el mundo de la música gracias a la influencia de su abuelo, que será ilustrado por su hija.

"Gus & Yo: La historia de mi abuelo y mi primera guitarra" se basa en la infancia de la estrella de rock y su relación con su abuelo, Theodore Augustus Dupree, intérprete de jazz y responsable de introducir al joven Richards a la música.

Escrito en colaboración con Barnaby Harris y Bill Shapiro, el libro cuenta con ilustraciones a cargo de la hija del rockero, llamada Theodora Dupree en honor al abuelo "Gus".

Se trata de "una mirada íntima y poco común hacia la infancia" del legendario músico de 70 años, explicó hoy la artista Theodora Dupree Richards, para quien "tener la oportunidad de explorar la relación de mi padre con su abuelo ha sido un regalo".

"Lo que he aprendido durante este proceso son experiencias para la vida", opinó.

Keith Richards, que ha sido abuelo por quinta vez, ha querido profundizar en su libro sobre los vínculos que se crean con los nietos indagando en sus recuerdos de infancia, por lo que adjuntará una colección de fotografías del archivo familiar.

"Acabo de convertirme en abuelo por quinta vez, así que sé de lo que estoy hablando. Ese lazo especial entre niños y abuelos es único y debe ser atesorado. Esta es la historia de uno de esos mágicos momentos. Espero ser tan buen abuelo como Gus lo fue para mí", explicó el guitarrista y compositor de los Stones.

La editorial británica para niños Little Brown publicará el libro en papel y en versión electrónica el próximo 9 de setiembre.

Megan Tingley, de Little Brown, expresó su satisfacción por contar con el nuevo libro del músico, que hasta ahora solo había publicado sus memorias, de las que vendió más de dos millones de copias y que le causaron roces con su compañero Mick Jagger.

Keith Richards published a children's book about his first steps in the world of music through the influence of his grandfather , which will be illustrated by her daughter.

Keith Richards , who has been a grandfather for the fifth time , wanted to delve into his book on the links that are created with grandchildren delving into her childhood memories , so he attached a collection of photographs from the family archives .

British children's publisher Little Brown published the book in paper and electronic version on 9 September.

Megan Tingley , Little Brown, welcomed expect the musician 's new book , which until now had just published his memoirs , of which sold over two million copies and he caused friction with teammate Mick Jagger.
