Imágenes icónicas de The Rolling Stones, en una exposicion en Cadiz, por el artista valenciano Antonio de Felipe

Imágenes icónicas de los discos de The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, David Bowie o Bruce Springteen cobran vida en gran formato en una muestra reivindicativa del valor creativo de las portadas de los antiguos vinilos de larga duración. La experiencia llega de la mano del artista valenciano Antonio de Felipe, quien ha elegido Cádiz para presentar la exposición titulada Pop 2.

Se trata de una colección de pinturas inspiradas en las carpetas de los discos más influyentes de la historia, a los que el autor ha añadido elementos de su universo propio. El visitante reconocerá a personajes tan diversos como Picasso, Tintín o la Pantera Rosa en una versión actualizada de la portada de Sgt. Pepper , Tattoo you y Sticky Fingers de The Rolling Stones , entre otros

En esta ocasión la exposición POP 2 (al cuadrado) está compuesta por dos series que no se han visto en Cádiz: “LPOP” y “POPSPORT”. En la primera Antonio de Felipe se inspira en aquellas portadas de LP’S que han rodeado musicalmente nuestras vidas, haciendo una interpretación visual de algunas de las obras maestras de la música de finales del siglo XX invitándonos a disfrutar y a sumergirnos en un mundo de metáforas y guiños, y en una particular visión de una música que ha marcado toda una época. En “POPSPORT” Antonio de Felipe ha querido recuperar a algunos de sus pintores y artistas favoritos para hacer un homenaje al deporte, mostrando de esta forma su apoyo a la candidatura de Madrid 2016 como sede olímpica.

Las obras de Antonio de Felipe se encuentra representada en prestigiosas colecciones públicas y privadas como el Museo Nacional de Arte Reina Sofía, el Instituto Valenciano de Arte Moderno (IVAM), la Col-lecció Testimoni de la Fundación La Caixa, Colección Carmen Thyssen-Bornemizsa, la Colección de Arte Kneip en Luxemburgo o la Montblanc Cultural Foundation.

Iconic images of the discs of The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, David Bowie or Bruce Springsteen come to life in large format in a sample protest the creative value of old vinyl covers the long-term. The experience comes from the hand of the Valencian artist Antonio de Felipe, who has chosen to file Cadiz exhibition entitled Pop 2.

This is a collection of paintings inspired by folders most influential albums in history, to which the author has added elements of his own universe. The visitor will recognize characters as diverse as Picasso, Tintin or the Pink Panther on an updated version of the cover of Sgt Pepper, Tattoo you and Sticky Fingers by The Rolling Stones, among others

On this occasion the exhibition POP 2 (squared) is composed of two series that have not been seen in Cadiz: "LPOP" and "POPSPORT". In the first Antonio de Felipe is inspired by those covers LP'S that have surrounded musically our lives, making a visual interpretation of some of the masterpieces of the music of the late twentieth century inviting us to enjoy and immerse ourselves in a world of metaphors and winks , and in a particular view of a music that has marked an era. In "POPSPORT" Antonio de Felipe has sought to recover some of their favorite artists and painters to make a tribute to the sport, thus showing their support for Madrid's bid to host 2016 Olympics.
