Keith Richards y Stevie Nicks "amarìan" estar en el festival de Glastonbury el próximo verano, dijeron esta semana. Los comentarios de los músicos se agregan a los rumores de que los Rolling Stones y Fleetwood Mac se establecen para encabezar el festival de 2013.

Aunque estas observaciones no parezcan demasiado, son una mayor elaboración de los comentarios del guitarrista desde principios de año, dijo en octubre : "[Glastonbury] es una propuesta interesante."

El organizador del festival Emily Eavis ha sido ambiguo acerca de su interés en la contratacion de los Rolling Stones. "Nos encantaría que esten  el año que viene", dijo en octubre. "Sentimos que si va a suceder, tiene que suceder el año que viene ... Así que vamos a hacer todo lo posible".

Con el anuncio de la gira mundial de Fleetwood Mac, Nicks también ha propuesto su titular de Glastonbury  "¿Te encantaría hacerlo? Me encantaría hacerlo!" le dijo a NME. "Espero que, ya sabes. Espero espero!" Recordó la emoción de ver a Glastonbury 2011 en la televisión en su hotel en Londres. "Me senté y vi como tres horas, cuatro horas de él ... vi A Beyoncé y fue bastante sorprendente".

Fleetwood Mac están planeando su calendario 2013, que incluirá básicamente "50" conciertos americanos y luego "siete u ocho" actuaciones en el Reino Unido. Los Stones parecen estar en una etapa de planificación similar: aún no han anunciado ningún concierto más allá de su breve gira de 2012, que termina en Nueva York este fin de semana.

But not together – comments fuel hope that the Rolling Stones and Fleetwood Mac will headline next summer's event

Keith Richards and Stevie Nicks would both "love" to perform at next summer's Glastonbury festival, they said this week. The musicians' comments add fuel to rumours that the Rolling Stones and Fleetwood Mac are set to headline the 2013 festival.

"If it could happen, I'd love to," Richards told NME. "But look, I don't know anything about next year at the moment, I really don't. We're just getting this year under our belts." While these remarks may not seem like much, they're a further elaboration of the guitarist's comments from earlier this year. "On a good day, if the weather's fine," he said in October, "[Glastonbury's] is an interesting proposition."

Festival organiser Emily Eavis has been unambiguous about her interest in booking the Rolling Stones. "We would love it to happen next year," she said in October. "We feel like if it's going to happen, it's got to happen next year … So we'll try our best."

With the announcement of Fleetwood Mac's world tour, Nicks has also proposed her band headline Glastonbury. "Would I love to do it? I'd love to do it!" she told NME. "I hope, you know. I hope I hope!" She recalled the thrill of watching Glastonbury 2011 on the TV at her hotel in London. "I sat and watched like three hours, four hours of it … I watched Beyoncé and it was pretty amazing."

Fleetwood Mac are currently plotting their 2013 schedule, which will include "basically 50" American gigs and then "seven or eight" performances in the UK. The Stones seem to be in a similar planning stage: they have yet to announce any concerts beyond their brief 2012 tour, which ends in New York this weekend.
