El guitarrista deja caer que habrá más conciertos, confirma que la banda se embolsará casi 20 millones de euros por cuatro conciertos y bromea sobre la posibilidad de tocar en el festival Glastonbury.
Keith Richards dejó caer en una entrevista con la emisora británica BBC 6Music, que los cuatro conciertos anunciados ayer por los Stones no serán los únicos de la banda, dentro de sus celebraciones de su 50 aniversario.
"Sabes, no me sorprendería", dijo Richards, cuando se le preguntó si los fans podían esperar más. "Nadie nos ha dicho nada, pero no creo que la banda montara todo esto para dar cuatro conciertos… Creo que quieren hacer algo a finales de año, y el año que viene tiene pinta de que se va a montar".
La banda comunicó ayer oficialmente sus cuatro próximos directos (dos en el O2 Arena de Londres, el 25 y 29 de noviembre, y dos más, el 13 y 15 de diciembre, en Prudential Center de Nework, Nueva Jersey), por los que, según apuntan los rumores, recibirán 16 millones de libras (alrededor de 20 millones de euros): "A veces las cifras se exageran mucho. Pero sí, 16 millones suena correcto", dijo el guitarrista. "Estoy un poco fuera de onda en el mundo del espectáculo. Solo quiero dar unos conciertos, y espero que los tickets no cuesten un riñón", continuó. Las entradas se pondrán a la venta el 26 de octubre.
Como Richards señaló hace unos meses, el aniversario real de la banda será en 2013, ya que en 1963 es el año en que Charlie Watts se unió al grupo. "Para nosotros este año es como el periodo de concepción", bromeó Richards, "y el año que viene el nacimiento. Aunque todo el mundo ha decidido que también merece la pena celebrar la concepción".
Cuando el periodista le preguntó por las posibilidades de que los Stones toquen el el festival Glastonbury, Richards se echó a reír: "En un buen día, si hace buen tiempo, es una proposición interesante", añadió. "Lo que la banda quiere es hacer estos cuatro conciertos primero, y después empezar a pensar en el año que viene. Pero todo es posible".

Keith Richards dropped in an interview with the British broadcaster BBC 6Music that the four concerts announced yesterday by the Stones are not the only band, in their celebrations of its 50th anniversary.
"You know, it would not surprise me," said Richards, when asked if fans could expect more. "Nobody said anything, but I do not ride this band to give four concerts ... I think they want to do something later this year, and next year looks like it will be mounted."
