New book: "The true story of the Rolling Stones" by Stanley Booth

'THE TRUE STORY OF THE ROLLING STONES' DESCRIBES LIFE TO LIMIT THE MYTHICAL BANDA

MADRID, 22 Jul. (IRIN) -

Coinciding with the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Rolling Stones, published today Topics The True Story of the Rolling Stones, a work for nostalgic, which will delight those who love the novels of life on the edge and rock and roll. The book will be published in Spain in late September.

Its author, Stanley Booth is a milestone of music journalism and met the Rolling in the mid-sixties when he was sent an article on the trial for possession of drugs to which they were subjected. And that became a real journey in which the author shared bed, car and drugs with the band members.

From these experiences, Stanley Booth makes an extraordinary drawing on years of hard rock style with a fast, direct and live in a mythical book for lovers of music and sixties.

So he was a witness and survivor of the hardest years of rock and roll, but also the most romantic and wild, a time, as he says in the book, which was believed "that music could save the world" .

According to the author, this book has gone through countless vicissitudes hilarious at the same time dramatic, as told in an epilogue end should lead the work to give it meaning: it has been published several times with little economic and commercial success perhaps, he says, because it took 15 years to write.

Stanley Booth accompanies each chapter with quotes from Kerouac, Burroughs, but also Freud and Nietzsche he wants to frame these years, the sixties, in European intellectual history, according to Today's publisher.
