Ronnie Wood , Mick Taylor , Van Morrison, Tom Jones, Robert Cray, Hugh Laurie adhieren @ Bluesfest 2012

Tras el arrollador éxito de Bluesfest 2011, que vio a más de 16.000 aficionados a la música asistir a conciertos con algunos de los nombres más grandes en el blues, el jazz y el soul, el festival vuelve al Reino Unido este verano para una celebración de 10 días de música increíble. En respuesta a la gran popularidad del evento del año pasado, el festival de 2012 será aumentar de tamaño y escala con el Manchester Bluesfest con objeto de complementar su contraparte del sur.
La primera ola de los acontecimientos titulares confirmados se encuentran: Una noche de música, comisariada por la superestrella guitarrista Ronnie Wood, quien estará invitando a algunos de sus músicos favoritos a unirse a él de un tributo exclusivo tribute to the legendary Chicago-based blues label Chess Records ; "Van Morrison Sings The Blues ", uno de los verdaderos innovadores de la música popular que realizan un concierto único de música que le sigue inspirando, Tom Jones será revisar  2010’s acclaimed gospel and blues set Praise & Blame, así como exhibir material exclusivo de su nuevo álbum de próxima publicación;el inimitable Johnny Southside y el Asbury Jukes va a traer su show en vivo embriagador de Londres y Manchester, y el alma distinguido y la leyenda del blues George Benson vuelve al Reino Unido para los espectáculos en el Royal Albert Hall de Londres y Hall de Manchester Bridgewater, reconocido actor se volvió pianista y cantante Hugh Laurie va a hacer un regreso muy esperado para realizar la música de su mundialmente aclamado 2011 debut Let Them Talk, y el blues principal, Robert Cray y su banda rugiendo a la ciudad para lo que promete ser una noche de blues at O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire.
Por otra parte, en lo que es un golpe importante para Bluesfest 2012, Ronnie Wood, ha sido el encargado de crear obras de arte del festival. Como un artista venerado como guitarrista y sus pinturas  que se exhiben en galerías de todo el mundo y el retrato impactante que ha producido para el festival  como uno de los talentos más originales y perdurables del mundo del arte.
El amplio alcance de Bluesfest 2012, que tiene como objetivo presentar los mejores del blues y los géneros y artistas que han influido, se refleja en las ranuras del ex Rolling Stones Mick Taylor, guitarrista, y el "Screaming Eagle of Soul" Charles Bradley; fenomenales blues-rock traje de Gov't Mule, áspero guitarrista de EE.UU. y el aclamado compositor John Hiatt, y uno de los más hablado de las jóvenes estrellas de la escena, JJ Gray. El festival también apoyará una vez más la riqueza de talentos locales en el Reino Unido tiene para ofrecer con ranuras para Ian Siegal, Schofield Matt y Brand New Heavies - con los nombres de muchas, muchas más que se añadirán en las próximas semanas.

Following the runaway success of BluesFest 2011, which saw more than 16,000 music fans attend concerts by some of the biggest names in blues, jazz and soul, the festival returns to the UK this summer for a 10 day celebration of incredible music. In response to the widespread popularity of last year’s event, the 2012 festival will increase in size and scale with BluesFest Manchester introduced to complement its southern counterpart.


The first wave of confirmed headline events include: An evening of music curated by superstar guitarist Ronnie Wood, who will be inviting some of his favourite musicians to join him for an exclusive tribute to the legendary Chicago-based blues label Chess Records; “Van Morrison Sings The Blues”, one of popular music's true innovators performing a unique concert of the music that continues to inspire him; Tom Jones will be revisiting 2010’s acclaimed gospel and blues set Praise & Blame as well as showcasing exclusive material from his forthcoming new album; the inimitable Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes will be bringing their intoxicating live show to both London and Manchester; distinguished soul and blues legend George Benson returns to the UK for shows at London’s Royal Albert Hall & Manchester’s Bridgewater Hall; renowned actor turned pianist & singer Hugh Laurie will be making a highly anticipated homecoming to perform music from his globally acclaimed 2011 debut Let Them Talk; and blues mainstay Robert Cray and his band will be roaring into town for what promises to be a blistering night of blues at O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire.


Furthermore, in what is a major coup for BluesFest 2012, Ronnie Wood has been commissioned to create the festival’s artwork. As revered an artist as he is a guitarist, Wood’s paintings are displayed in galleries around the world and the striking portrait he has produced for the festival cements his position as one of the art world’s most unique and enduring talents.


The broad scope of BluesFest 2012, which aims to present the finest in blues and the genres and artists it has influenced, is reflected by slots for former Rolling Stones guitarist Mick Taylor; the “Screaming Eagle of Soul” Charles Bradley; phenomenal blues-rock outfit Gov’t Mule, gritty US guitarist and acclaimed songwriter John Hiatt; and one of the most talked about young guns on the scene, JJ Gray. The festival will also once again support the wealth of home-grown talent the UK has to offer with slots for Ian Siegal, Matt Schofield and Brand New Heavies - with many, many more names to be added over the coming weeks.
