Martin Scorsese, from priest to "Shine a Light"
The world was not about to see works of cinema as 'Taxi Driver', 'The Departed' or 'Goodfellas'.Martin Scorsese, director of all these and other classic films, almost became a priest, then entered the seminary in 1956. Changed his mind and left to pursue his vocation to the seventh art, graduating from the University of New York as a film in 1964. The filmmaker returns this year's race for the Best Director award at the Oscars. He had not gone into this fight since 2007, when he won for his film 'The Departed'. In addition to this, and this year's nomination for his film 'Hugo' is the sixth time that fight in this area. "It's almost a Scorsese karma" statement Gregorio Velez, movie buff and journalist. He has closely followed the trajectory of New York and yet not know if the filmmaker has beaten every time he did not win an Oscar. "But there has been an expert in portraying the mafia and criminal world has managed to create as few marginal characters outside the law.

" This student of Scorsese's work before choosing the best production director takes the time: "It is difficult," and returns to silence. At the end of your analysis, you decide to 'Shine a Light', the documentary about the Rolling Stones. "I think it's also the taste I have for Mick Jagger's band,"
he says and laughs. In his opinion this embodiment has all arguments to be the best of Scorsese. "It is simple in its narrative, a documentary reports and is innovative." This is not the only documentary filmmaker who has built. He also made one in honor of the Beatle most timid of four, 'George Harrison: Living in the Material World' is called work. "That the director made clear his love and passion for rock," says Gustavo Estrella, director. However, for this filmmaker Quito, the most outstanding work of Scorsese's eyebrows is 'Taxi Driver'. He liked the way it told the story of that classic film, in short, the narrative. It is safe because "it's fascinating" how Travis Bickle created and how he had the foresight to see that Robert De Niro could embody it. "That's his legacy," Star determining sentence. What?Create-response-only fictional characters who were born to the cinema and just finding the right actors for these characters engage in a life of its own history. "He's a genius", he concluded. Now go back to fight for the award for Best Director. The fight is hard, beside him compete as equals Michel Hazanavicius, Alexander Payne, Woody Allen and Terrence Malick. But the criticism and has the luxury of speculating. And it does so based on the award he won in the last delivery of the Golden Globe, in which Scorsese won the award for best director. Therefore, the world speaks in a whisper that he and his film, 'Hugo', February 26 will win everything they have in front.
