Los escándalos y la provocación rodearon siempre al francés Serge Gainsbourg, cuya música ha sido rescatada por el menor de sus hijos, Lulu Gainsbourg, quien presenta estos días en Madrid "From Gainsbourg to Lulu", su particular homenaje a una de las leyendas de la "chanson" francesa.
"Nunca había podido rendirle tributo, excepto llevando flores a su tumba", ha explicado Lulu Gainsbourg, quien ha dirigido, producido y arreglado un disco en el que intervienen, entre otros, Johnny Depp, Rufus Wainwright, Scarlett Johansson, Iggy Pop y Marianne Faithfull.
Fallecido en 1991, Serge Gainsbourg dejó una hija de diecinueve años, Charlotte, y un hijo de cinco, quien lo recuerda en su faceta de padre más que en las de artista, genio o mito, que tantas páginas llenaron en aquella época.
