Richards bromeó acerca de ser un "intruso" en el evento literario. Clinton también le dijo a los invitados antes de la presentación de Richards, que su fallecida madre Dorothy Rodham, era un gran fanática de él.
“¿Tienen alguna idea lo que es tener una groupie de 92 años de edad viviendo en tu casa?, ¿una mujer que vivía y respiraba por los Rolling Stones?”, dijo el exmandatario.
