Mick Jagger and other 200 celebrities, ask for 'no' on Scottish independence
"What unites us is far greater than what divides us," he said in a manifesto to support the campaign "Let's Stay Together '(Come together).
More than 200 famous celebrities of film, art, sports, literature and British public figures, Mick Jagger or scientist Stephen Hawking, have signed a letter opposing the campaign to support the independence of Scotland, reported today the organizers of the initiative "Let's Stay together". Among the signatories are 18 Olympic gold medalists, 44 Bafta awards, Nobel Prize and two Turner Prizes, according to organizers.
For the forthcoming referendum on 18 September, in the open letter, which also contained the signatures as actresses Helena Bonham-Carter and Judi Dench, the composer Andrew Lloyd Webber, singer Cliff Richard, and actor Dominic West or the popular British presenter Simon Cowell, the Scots are urged to vote for the "no" in the referendum on whether the region should secede from the UK. "The decision on whether to leave our shared country is, of course, absolutely your only" said the letter, to alert then. "However, this decision will have a huge effect on all of us in the rest of the UK"
Elsewhere in the letter, these public figures reminiscent of Scottish voters, the bonds that unite Scotland with the UK: "We want to let you know how we value our bonds of citizenship with you, and express our hope that voted for renew ". "What unites us is far greater than what divides us. Come together", adds the note.
The pro-independence faction has its own backup as Sean Connery, actor Brian Cox and the novelist Irvine Welsh. The Scottish author of Harry Potter, JK Rowling, was against the independence and donated one million pounds for the campaign against segregation.
The letter is reported two days after the issuance of an expected live televised debate between the British Scottish first minister, Alex Salmond and former head Alistair Darling, campaign manager for the unit. After that discussion, opinion polls gave Darling the winner, with a narrow win over independence leader, who tried to convince undecided voters ahead of the consultation. Opinion polls show that the majority of Scots would vote against breaking the union with England 307 years, but also shows that many still have not decided who to vote for, injecting an element of uncertainty to the results.

The Rolling Stones en Argentina .
