'Flashmob' on the Rolling Stones in London
The event, which runs until Sunday 30 in the English town of Somerset, comes after the parenthesis last year for the Olympics.
The Contemporary British festival Glastonbury 2013 Performing Arts presents in this edition, the main novelty, unprecedented performance of the Rolling Stones.
For this reason, several festival goers dressed in masks of Keith Richards and Mick Jagger participate in a "flashmob" (*) on the Rolling Stones.
The event, which runs until Sunday, June 30th, is celebrated after the parenthesis last year for the Olympic Games from a great expectation, with 135,000 tickets available out just two hours after going on sale.
(*)A flashmob, literally translated in English as 'flash mob' (flash: 'Flash, burst'; mob 'crowd') is an organized action in which a large group of people who assemble suddenly in a public place, perform an unusual and then quickly disperse. Usually convened through electronic means (mobile and internet) and in most cases, have no purpose than entertainment, but also may be called for political or protest.
One of the peculiarities of these "temporary tribes" is not required to have the support of the mass media to communicate, coordinate and act together, as their communication functions through virtual social networks. These are individuals who, supported by communication technologies, disseminate messages to their social networks of friends and acquaintances, which do the same to build a chain of communication that is able to mobilize thousands of people.
Recently, activity has been used as part of advertising campaigns for various products, scheduling the meeting in a public place but with the participation of dancers and performers that simulate traditional flashmob but including aspects of the brand that is promoted.
