Keith Richards: "Soy tan negro como el as de pica"

"No creo que el blues , sea de un color en particular", dijo el guitarrista de los Rolling Stones, que zanjó una discusión sobre el origen racial del género.

"Soy tan negro como el as de pica. Preguntale a cualquiera de los hermanos", dijo Keith Richards en una entrevista, en respuesta , a un debate cultural,  sobre la apropiación del blues , por parte de los músicos blancos.

Según el guitarrista de los Rolling Stones, las canciones sobre la explotación y esclavitud , existen desde el comienzo de los tiempos,  y que el género no debería estar definido , por el color de la piel.

"Cuando era chico, no distinguía el color de las personas. No creo que el blues sea de un color en particular", afirmó el Stone. "También había esclavos blancos. Hay un montón de temas sobre la opresión. Fijate en Egipto, en los judíos. La gente ha hecho esto,  desde el inicio de la historia".

Los Rolling Stones lanzarán en diciembre su esperado nuevo disco, titulado "Blue and Lonesome", que se compone de covers , de grandes clásicos del blues. 

 Keith Richards: "I'm as black as the pica ace" 

"I do not think the blues are in any particular color," said the Rolling Stones guitarist, who settled a discussion on the racial origin of the genre.

"I'm as black as the pica ace. Ask any of the brothers," Keith Richards said in an interview, in response to a cultural debate, about the appropriation of the blues, by white musicians.

According to the Rolling Stones guitarist, songs about exploitation and slavery have existed since the beginning of time, and that the genre should not be defined by the color of the skin.

"When I was a kid, I did not distinguish the color of people. I do not think the blues is a particular color," Stone said. "There were also white slaves, there are a lot of issues about oppression, and look at Egypt, the Jews, people have done this since the beginning of history."

The Rolling Stones will release in December their awaited new album, titled "Blue and Lonesome", which consists of covers, great blues classics.
