Exposicion Stone . 'Off the Hook' , la otra muestra de imagenes (por Gered Mankowitz )

1965 – 1967, ÍNTIMOS ROLLING STONES

Cerca de Piccadilly Circus , hay un pasaje comercial para clientela ostentosa. Entre una bisutería , y una peluquería de caballeros , se encuentra un pequeño espacio convertido en un retazo,  de la cultura rock de Londres. Snap Galleries, especialista en exposiciones fotográficas, ligadas al rock and roll, cuenta hasta finales de mayo con una muestra de los Rolling Stones,  a través del objetivo del fotógrafo inglés Gered Mankowitz.

La exposición, Off the Hook, recopila imágenes tomadas entre 1965 y 1967, y es una vuelta a los inicios de la banda, a la grabación en los estudios RCA de Hollywood, a la gira estadounidense de 1965,  y los momentos cómplices en los camarines . “La llamamos la cruz”, dice el periodista italiano Roberto Calabrò , en referencia a la composición de seis imágenes , que resaltan en esta muestra. Son los retratos de Jagger, Richards, Jones, Wyman y Watts que bordean un posado de la banda. Estas tomas , fueron encargadas a Mankowitz , como fotos de carné,  para los visados de los Rolling Stones. Una vez recuperadas del olvido,  y gracias a la técnica del chromaluxe, Mankowitz ha logrado una gran vivacidad , en las fotografías que presiden hoy la galería dirigida por Guy White.

1965 - 1967, INTIMATE ROLLING STONES

Near Piccadilly Circus, a shopping passage glitzy clientele. Between jewelry and a barber shop, a small space is converted into a piece of rock culture of London. Snap Galleries, specialist photographic exhibitions, linked to rock and roll, has until late May with a sample of the Rolling Stones, through the lens of British photographer Gered Mankowitz.

The exhibition, Off the Hook, collects images taken between 1965 and 1967, and is a throwback to the early days of the band, recording on the RCA studios in Hollywood, the American tour of 1965, and accomplices moments in the dressing rooms . "We call it the cross," says Italian journalist Roberto Calabrò, referring to the composition of six images, which highlighted in this sample. Are portraits of Jagger, Richards, Jones, Wyman and Watts lining a band perched. These shots, were commissioned to Mankowitz as passport photos for visa Rolling Stones. Once recovered from oblivion, thanks to the technique of chromaluxe, Mankowitz has achieved a great vivacity, in photographs today presiding gallery directed by Guy White.
