Casi un mes después, llega la respuesta del mítico guitarrista de Led Zeppelin, el veterano Jimmy Page, a las afirmaciones muy duras y polémicas , pronunciadas por otro grande del rock, Keith Richards. Hablando con Rolling Stone USA, Keith dijo:
“Adoro a Jimmy Page , pero no su grupo, con John Bonham que sale de carretera como un camión sin control… Han monopolizado el mercado, pero Jimmy es un gran artista , sin embargo la música de Led Zeppelin , siempre me ha parecido vacía”.
Jimmy Page ahora contesta de forma educada, a través de las páginas de Classic Rock, sin perder su clásico estilo:
“Keith puede decir lo que quiera. Es Keith Richards. Creo que en su carrera ha hecho cosas increíbles, le respeto muchísimo como músico y acaba de publicar un disco. Si tuviera que promocionar un álbum solista, posiblemente no sería más caustico que el… No he entendido bien lo que quería decir , definiendo ‘vacía’ la música de Led Zeppelin pero pienso que hay algo de irónico en sus palabras”.

Nearly a month later, he comes the response of legendary Led Zeppelin guitarist, Jimmy Page veteran, to the harsh and controversial statements uttered by another large rock, Keith Richards. Talking to Rolling Stone USA, Keith said:
"I love Jimmy Page, but not their group, with John Bonham leaving road as a truck out of control ... They have monopolized the market, but Jimmy is a great artist, but the music of Led Zeppelin, has always seemed empty" .
Jimmy Page now answered politely, through the pages of Classic Rock, without losing its classic style:
"Keith can say whatever he wants. Is Keith Richards. I think in his career he has done incredible things, I respect him a lot as a musician and just released an album. If I had to promote a solo album, it may not be more caustic than ... I misunderstood what he meant, defining 'empty' the music of Led Zeppelin but I think there is some irony in his words. "
