Los ídolos musicales van a tocar en el país por primera vez el 4 de junio, fiesta del Shavuot, día en el que se conmemora la entrega de la Ley por parte de Dios a Moisés. 

Es una de las fechas imprescindibles del Judaísmo. Un diputado del partido ultraderechista "Casa Judía" ,  está presionando al productor del evento para cambiar el día, algo imposible en una gira ajustadísima, como es costumbre entre las macro estrellas del rock.

El concierto, englobado dentro del tour mundial “14 on fire”, tendrá lugar en el Parque Hayarkon de Tel Aviv. Solo unos minutos antes habrá terminado el Shavuot, ya que las festividades judías vienen marcadas por la puesta de sol. 

La actuación, por tanto, podrá hacerse ya fuera del día sagrado, pero el problema está en los preparativos y en los desplazamientos al evento. Nissan Slomiansky, diputado de "Casa Judía",  y presidente de la Comisión de Finanzas del Parlamento israelí, ha enviado una carta al productor de los Rollling Stones, Shuki Weiss, en la que le recuerda que la Policía deberá estar trabajando en los alrededores desde las dos de la tarde, “en vez de estar con sus familias, con los niños”, y si las puertas se abren a las cinco y media, igualmente se peca en el día santo.

“Un concierto no debe llevarse a cabo si conlleva una profanación masiva de una fiesta religiosa”, denuncia el político, que ha posado incluso con una camiseta de la banda para demostrar que no tiene nada en contra de ella y que, de hecho, quiere ir al show con sus hijas. Pero, a ser posible, un par de días antes o un día después del 4 de junio fijado.

Slomiansky recuerda que Shavuot es una fiesta que no sólo guardan los ortodoxos religiosos, sino que los seculares también “participan en sesiones de estudio de la Torá y acuden a las sinagogas”. Eso incluye, dice, el cumplimiento de la ley judía o halajá de no usar coche o transporte público alguno durante este tiempo sagrado, como ocurre con el shabat, entre la puesta de sol del viernes y la del sábado. Esta costumbre semanal es incumplida por no pocos ciudadanos de fe judía, pero durante las fiestas especiales como la que coincide con el concierto sí se suele respetar, lo que complicaría el traslado a Tel Aviv de los aficionados de otros puntos del país.

Entre los 55.000 posibles espectadores de las plazas del lugar del espectáculo habrá quien tome sin reparos su coche, obviando los preceptos religiosos, pero quien esté obligado a usar el transporte público se encontrará con que no arranca hasta una hora después de la puesta de sol, así es por convenio. Llegar tarde es un lujo imposible cuando las entradas cuestan entre 145 y 590 euros.

Cambiar la fecha, dicen los promotores, no es viable, cuando la programación del concierto ha costado más de 3,6 millones de euros. Esperan que la presión no haga mella en el grupo, y ocurra como con Depeche Mode, que puso su último concierto el día de Tisha Beav –uno de los principales ayunos del judaísmo- y ante las críticas acabó anulando su visita. Para tratar de amoldarse a la situación, explica Nidar Oz, publicista del evento, se quieren coordinar ofertas con hoteles cercanos a Hayarkon y también con empresas de alquiler a corto plazo, para que los aficionados viajen días antes y ya sólo tengan que irse a pie al parque.

El concierto de los Rolling, fechas aparte, está acaparando igualmente críticas al otro lado de la Línea Verde, entre los palestinos. La campaña Boicoteo-Desinversión-Sanciones (BDS), impulsada por más de 200 asociaciones civiles, les ha pedido que no actúen en Israel, porque están siendo usados como “una herramienta de publicidad” para su Gobierno. “Es mejor que se abstengan de tocar en el Israel del Apartheid y no avalen con su música las violaciones de derechos humanos y la ocupación”, resume Rafeef Ziadah, portavoz del movimiento.
