El biopic de James Brown ya tiene a su estrella seleccionada, el televisivo Chadwick Boseman. Pero en la vida del Padrino del Soul existieron muchos personajes que influyeron en su música y su carrera, papeles secundarios que aparecerán en Get on up, la biografía que dirige Tate Taylor. Uno de ellos fue Mick Jagger, que tendrá su versión cinematográfica en la piel de Nick Eversman.

Get on up será el siguiente trabajo de Tate Taylor tras el éxito de "Criadas y señoras", y contará la historia de James Brown desde sus humildes comienzos en el mundo de la música a su salto al estrellato, pasando por su caída en el mundo de las drogas. Mick Jagger aparecerá en el filme cuando éste se reúne con James Brown en un concierto en donde el cantante de soul pierde el control.

Nick se suma así a un reparto que completan Viola Davis y Octavia Spencer. La cinta está siendo producida por Mick Jagger junto a Brian Grazer, Erica Huggins y Victoria Pearman; y ya se rueda en Atlanta (EEUU), la ciudad de origen del cantante.
