La fundación Andy Warhol venderá toda su colección

New York, NY- Este otoño la fundación de artes visuales Andy Warhol se deshará de toda la colección del artista.

Portavoces de la fundación anunciaron que venderán algunas piezas y otras serán donadas en el Christie's Auction House.

Las ventas dicen que tomarán años y que se reunirán unos 100 millones de dólares.

Aunque la fundación no posee grandes obras del famoso pintor, todavía conserva pinturas, grabados, fotografías y dibujos. Algunas de estas obras nunca han sido vistas por el público, algunas de éstas incluyen "Three Targets" una pintura horizontal en negro y blanco que muestra tres blancos con tiros y que se espera se vendan entre un 1 millón y 1 millón y medio, también entre las preciadas obras inéditas se encuentra una pintura de Jacqueline Kennedy de 1960 que se estima entre unos 200.000 a 300.000 y un autorretrato de la década de 1970 valorado entre 15.000 y 20.000 dólares y trabajos con los Rolling Stones. La mayoría de las obras se venderán en subastas en vivo a partir de noviembre así como subastas online a partir de febrero y el resto serán ventas privadas.

La inusual decisión de la fundación pretende donar las ventas de los trabajos del artista a obras de caridad, la fundación se hizo cargo de las obras Andy Warhol después de su muerte.
