La universidad mexicana se une a las celebraciones por los 50 años de la banda con una programación especial en su estación de radio

Ciudad de México.- La Universidad Iberoamericana celebrará los 50 años del primer concierto de la banda británica The Rolling Stones con una programación especial en su estación Ibero 90.9, exposición memorabilia de los acetatos originales y la proyección del documental "Shine a Light" de Martin Scorsese, en agosto próximo.

La académica del Departamento de Comunicación de la Universidad, Julia Palacios, informó que en la semana del 20 al 26 de agosto, realizarán una jornada de reflexión sobre The Rolling Stones, que hoy cumple medio siglo de su primer concierto en el Marquee Club de Londres, y lo que representa para la cultura y el entretenimiento que esta banda se mantenga activa.

Asimismo, subrayó que en las mesas redondas participará el fotógrafo Fernando Aceves, el biográfo mexicano de The Rolling Stones, César Aguilera, y especialistas de la Universidad Iberoamericana que pertenecen a la línea de investigación crítica de la cultura y estudios visuales de la maestría en Comunicación.

En la biblioteca Francisco Xavier Clavigero se montará la exposición memorabilia sobre las portadas de los discos más influyentes de la agrupación; además, en el cierre del evento se proyectará el documental "Shine a Light" de Martin Scorsese.

Julia Palacios afirmó que "es la única institución que estudia la historia del rock en México, por lo que es imprescindible que los estudiantes y académicos interesados se acerquen a la semana dedicada a The Rolling Stones para comprender la historia del rock en Inglaterra, Estados Unidos y su influencia en el rock mexicano".
