Londres.- ¿Quién hubiese imaginado que Keith Richards iba a llegar a la edad de la jubilación? Pues no es menos notable que Ron Wood, su colega en los Rolling Stones, también celebre el próximo 1 de junio su 65 cumpleaños tras nada menos que ocho curas de desintoxicación.
"Todavía no me siento de esa edad", dijo lacónico al diario británico "The Guardian". El delgado guitarrista de los Stones encarnó como nadie el estilo de vida de "sexo, alcohol, drogas, mujeres y rock'n'roll", pero en la actualidad está atravesando una de las fases más creativas: Es un reconocido pintor, un premiado locutor de radio con su propio programa de música y acaba de descubrir su faceta como cantante con su más reciente disco en solitario "I Feel Like Playing".
Está tan ocupado que cuando se le pregunta a su agente sobre cómo Wood piensa celebrar su cumpleaños, sencillamente contesta "ni idea".
Probablemente lo haga con su actual compañera, la modelo brasileña Ana Araujo, de 30 años, con la que parece que Wood estabilizó su vida. El cantante estuvo casado 24 años con Jo, madre de dos de sus tres hijos.
