Charlie is my Darling abre el Festival Internacional de Cine Documental Musical Beefeater In-Edit

El Festival Internacional de Cine Documental Musical Beefeater In-Edit abre este jueves su X edición con el esperado documental 'The Rolling Stones. Charlie is my Darling'.

 Se trata de una reedición del clásico de Peter Whitehead que cobra actualidad tras la celebración reciente del 50 aniversario de la banda y el lanzamiento de su nueva canción 'Doom and Gloom'.

   El director de la reedición de la cinta inaugural, Mick Gochanour, ha explicado que "el material que forma parte de este documental nunca antes se había visto, es material, horas de material, que había permanecido ignorado" hasta que hace un par de años se revisaron las cintas filmadas en 1965, ha añadido.

   Gochanour ha avanzado que en la pieza audiovisual se ve a los Stones viajar en trasporte público durante su gira por Irlanda, "siendo probablemente la última vez que usaron este transporte en su vida".

   No ha escatimado en elogios hacia la versión original de Whitehead, así como al hecho que 50 años más tarde, los Rolling Stones sigan siendo una banda de absoluta actualidad: "En 1965 aun no habían aprendido a ser malos", ha bromeado.

   El director ejecutivo de In-Edit Producciones, Cristian Pascual, ha celebrado la venta de un 30% más de entradas anticipadas vendidas hasta la fecha, respecto al mismo periodo que el año pasado, y como cada año la programación incluye la sección Oficial Internacional, Nacional, la Excedlents --con títulos fuera de concurso-- y la de homenaje, este año, dirigida a Julien Temple.

   El festival, que tendrá lugar hasta el 4 de noviembre, cuando se proyectará el documental 'In-Edit Get what you want' sobre los 10 años de historia del mismo, presentará más de 60 obras en una de sus ediciones más ambiciosas.

   Con motivo del décimo aniversario del festival, los organizadores han programado el Top 10 de los mejores 100 documentales musicales de la historia, según la votación realizada por cerca de un centenar de profesionales, ha explicado el director artístico del evento, Luis Hidalgo.

   Como ya viene siendo habitual, el festival también tendrá lugar fuera de los cines; en el Doc Alive --con conciertos de 'Luke Haines' y 'Litoral', al que se ha dedicado uno de los documentales-- la tercera edición del Market y las conferencias, work shops, work in progress y master class.

   Otra de las novedades de esta edición, y que también se desarrolla fuera de los cines, es la inclusión de la plataforma de Video on Demand In-Edit.tv, como cuarta pantalla de proyección, que permitirá disfrutar del 25% de la programación del Festival en cualquier rincón de España.

The International Documentary Film Festival Musical In-Edit Beefeater opens this Thursday edition with its X-awaited documentary 'The Rolling Stones. Charlie is my Darling '.

 This is a remake of the classic Peter Whitehead currently charged after recent celebration of the 50th anniversary of the band and the release of their new song 'Doom and Gloom'.
