Their Satanic Majesties Request is a psychedelic rock album released in 1967.This name refers to a very particular text that appears on a British passport: "Her Britannic Majesty Requests and Requires ..." ("Your Majesty, referring to the Queen of England, requests and requires ...").Like other groups had done in the 60's, The Rolling Stones released an album of psychedelic music in 1967. As a result the name of this album, the members of The Rolling Stones are known as "Their Satanic Majesties" ("Their Majesties Satanic").Includes a song by Bill Wyman, bassist of the group: In Another Land. The album received strong reviews for his pronounced foray into psychedelia, becoming a sort of "damned music" group, while an object of worship for some of their fans, being the work of the Stones that is closest to Psychedelic Rock.Among his most celebrated are the dyes Psychedelic ballad "She's a rainbow", and cuts "Citadel", "2000 Man" and "2000 light years form home". Noted that "2000 Man" was covered by Kiss in 1979 for his album "Dynasty", becoming a classic of its repertoire, while "2000 Light Years from Home" was recently revisited by the American group Monster Magnet, in his last album "4 Way Diablo".
Bill Wyman told in "Stone Alone" (page 532):The imaginative plan Michael Cooper for the cover of the Satanic Majesties took us to a study in Pictorial Productions, Mount Vernon, New York, this evening, where a store help you prepare for the session the following day. We immerse ourselves fully in making the album cover. Michael had already planned the basic idea and said, "Well, I want it because it is decoréis your picture." So we all work hard. Michael Cooper had gathered all the material and had lots of him in the studio, like Christmas decorations. I placed the model of Saturn to hang from the ceiling. We add our own little artistic touches and went to fetch his clothes, and went down to the area of flowers and foliage plants. We all went into the studio with spray cans. We were going out and buying things when we are finished. Michael took the first fotografíass us 3-D costumes, using a Japanese 3-D camera and some normal photos
