Cine Colombia presenta "The Rolling Stones: Some Girls, Live In Texas".
El próximo primero de diciembre Cine Colombia presenta "The Rolling Stones: Some Girls Live in Texas", un especial musical de 105 minutos del concierto de la mítica banda británica en su gira por Estados Unidos durante 1978, además de material inédito y una reciente entrevista a Mick Jagger (agosto de 2011), en la que habla sobre el proyecto que fue remasterizado en high definition.
Al igual que la gira "Paraíso 3D" de Alejandro Sanz, este documental será exhibido en los multiplex de Unicentro, Andino y Gran Estación en Bogotá, Chipichape en Cali y Santafé en Medellín.
La boletería para las funciones sale a la venta el próximo sábado 26 de noviembre y el valor oscila entre $14.000 y $25.000. Pueden conseguirse en los teatros seleccionados, en los teléfonos 4042463 (Bogotá), 6442463 (Cali) y 3202463 (Medellín), o a través de Cinecolombia.com.
Concierto del 78
Rodado el 18 de Julio 1978 en el Will Rogers Memorial Center de Forth Worth, "The Rolling Stones: Some Girls, Live in Texas 78" se puede ver ahora en alta definición, en pantalla gigante y con sonido Dolby 5.1.
Aunque originalmente fue filmado en 16mm, el material fue cuidadosamente restaurado este año y cuenta con la remasterización de audio de Bob Clearmountain, uno de los ingenieros de sonido más importantes del rock y el pop de las últimas tres décadas, reconocido por trabajar con artistas como Bon Jovi, David Bowie, Paul McCartney, John Legend y Ziggy Marley.
Gira Some Girls
El tour estadounidense de The Rolling Stones en 1978 es considerado por sus fanáticos como uno de los mejores y se dio tras la publicación de su álbum "Some Girls", lanzado el 9 de junio de ese año. Para cuando la agrupación llegó a Texas a mediados de julio, donde fue rodado el concierto, el álbum ya había alcanzado el número en las listas estadounidenses.
"Some Girls" es el trabajo de estudio número 16 de la banda y contiene clásicos de The Rolling Stones como "Miss You", "Beast of Burden", "Respectable", "Shattered", "Honky Tonk Woman" y "Tumbling Dice", entre otros.
