Poco a poco se van conociendo algunos detalles de la última aventura musical del cantante Mick Jagger y su nuevo grupo SuperHeavy. Sin embargo, el líder de los Rolling Stones durante los meses previos al estreno de su primer sencillo temió que alguna canción se filtrara a la prensa o en internet sin su consentimiento.
Tal fue la preocupación del cantante, que su hermano Chris Jagger le recomendó que grabara la mayoría de las canciones a bordo del megayate Octopus de su amigo Paul Allen.
La embarcación del cofundador de Microsoft, que cuenta con 126 metros de eslora y está valorada en más de 150 millones de euros, dispone también de un estudio de grabación entre sus camarotes ya que Allen es un gran apasionado de la música. A bordo del Octopus se mezclaron momentos de trabajo y también de descanso navegando en alta mar.
Según recoge la revista Live en una entrevista personal a Mick Jagger, durante la grabación del disco el megayate Octopus viajó a tres continentes distintos. "Grabamos todo en lugares tan diferente como: Los Ángeles, Jamaica, Turquía, Italia, Grecia, India y Miami en varias épocas del año. Paul Allen nos prestó su barco", declara Jagger. De hecho, recuerda que muchas de las voces se realizaron en una travesía entre Grecia y Turquía.
En este proyecto participan músicos de diferentes estilos como el ex Eurythmics, Dave Stewart, Joss Stone, el hijo de Bob Marley, Damian Marley, o el compositor indio AR Rahman, famoso por la oscarizada banda sonora de Slumdog Millionaire.

El Octopus fue diseñado por el famoso estudio de Espen Oeino y lo construyó en 2003 el astillero alemán Lürssen. Dispone de dos helipuertos, dos submarinos, siete lanchas, una piscina y una cancha de baloncesto.
A bordo pueden convivir con todo lujo hasta 22 personas en una embarcación en la navega una tripulación compuesta por 60 personas.
