La historia del fotógrafo chileno que llegó a la portada de la revista Rolling Stone
Una imagen tomada por Carlos Müller, acapara la tapa , de la prestigiosa publicación norteamericana, en su número de diciembre.
En su última gira por Sudamérica, los Rolling Stones contrataron a fotógrafos de cada país, para registrar sus conciertos en la región. En el caso de Chile, el escogido fue Carlos Müller, quien se encargó , de inmortalizar a Sus Majestades Satánicas, en su nueva visita a suelo Chileno , el pasado 3 de febrero.
Diez meses después del espectáculo, una de las fotos que tomó Müller —en la que Keith Richards y Mick Jagger aparecen sonriendo, durante el show , en el Estadio Nacional— llegó a la portada , de la edición de diciembre , de la prestigiosa revista Rolling Stone, para sorpresa del propio fotógrafo.
"Un amigo me avisó , que estaba apareciendo la foto , en la portada, el miércoles o jueves pasado, pero yo no tenía idea. La hice para la banda, e imagino que está en el stock de fotos , que ellos distribuyen , de forma promocional", comentó Müller
En su nueva edición, la revista norteamericana , contará con una entrevista , a los hombres de "Satisfaction" , por su próximo disco de estudio, y para el reportero gráfico, es llamativo, que se haya optado, por una imagen de un show en directo: "Uno entendería que iba a aparecer una foto, de la banda entera, de su nueva sesión de fotos, con su nueva imagen. Pero eligieron una foto en vivo, es raro igual", indicó.
Müller cuenta que es primera vez, que su trabajo logra un nivel tan alto de exposición.
"Con este alcance es primera vez, con una tapa a nivel global. Lo otro eran cosas puntuales: cuando trabajaba para Los Bunkers, habían publicado una foto pequeña en el New York Times, o el año pasado una foto del Sonar Chile, apareció en el diario El País de Argentina", comentó.
Tras la publicación de la portada de la revista, algunos fans argentinos de los Rolling Stones, creyeron que la fotografía había sido tomada, al otro lado de la cordillera, debido a que el conjunto , inicialmente compartió la imagen , después de su segundo show en el país vecino, el pasado 10 de febrero en La Plata.
"No especificaron , si era una foto del concierto de la noche anterior, y eso provocó la confusión. En realidad no, de hecho en el crédito de la revista , dice la fecha y el lugar donde estaba tomada", cerró Müller.

An image taken by Carlos Müller, captures the cover of the prestigious American publication, in its December issue.
In their last tour of South America, the Rolling Stones hired photographers from each country, to record their concerts in the region. In the case of Chile, the chosen one was Carlos Müller, who was in charge, to immortalize to Its Satanic Majesties, in his new visit to Chilean soil, the past 3 of February.
Ten months after the show, one of the photos taken by Müller - in which Keith Richards and Mick Jagger appear smiling during the show at the National Stadium - came to the cover of the December issue of the prestigious Rolling magazine Stone, to the photographer's own surprise.
"A friend told me that the photo was appearing on the cover, on Wednesday or Thursday, but I had no idea. I made it for the band, and I imagine it's in the stock of photos, which they distribute, so Promotional, "commented Müller
In its new edition, the American magazine, will have an interview, the men of "Satisfaction", for his next studio album, and for the graphic reporter, it is striking, that has been opted for an image of a show in "You would understand that a photo, the whole band, of your new photo session, with your new image would appear, but they chose a live photo, it's just the same," he said.
Müller says that it is the first time that his work achieves such a high level of exposure."This was the first time, with a global cap. Following the publication of the cover of the magazine, some Argentine fans of the Rolling Stones believed that the photograph had been taken, on the other side of the mountain range, because the group initially shared the image, after their second show in The neighboring country, last February 10 in La Plata.
"They did not specify, if it was a photo of the concert of the previous night, and that caused confusion. Not really, in fact in the credit of the magazine, it says the date and place where it was taken," Müller concluded.
