Spain comes to the children's book by Keith Richards

Malpaso published in Spain the children's book of Keith Richards, "Gus and me", with illustrations of his daughter Theodora. Includes a CD containing the harmony and chords of 'Malagueña'.

"The family of Keith Richards lived in Dartford, England, and was very musical. His mother, Doris, always had the radio on; his grandmother played piano; Aunt Joanna and he sang a duet songs Everly Brothers; his grandfather, Augustus Theodore Dupree (Gus), played the violin, saxophone and guitar, "says the press release of Malpaso.

"Keith was raised during the last years of World War and its aftermath, when it was not easy to find the bright side of London. But the boy and his grandfather walked through every corner of the city. During these walks visited workshops where broken instruments were repaired. One day, Gus showed Keith various guitar chords and taught him to play Malagueña. That was the introduction of Keith music and the origin of this poignant story illustrated by Theodora Richards, daughter of the author. "

"'Malagueña', the song that is mentioned in the text, was written by Ernesto Lecuona (1895-1963), a famous Cuban pianist and composer [...] Keith Richards's grandfather believed that Malagueña was the perfect piece for learning to play guitar plucking because it requires techniques that are crucial to the tonal formation of a guitarist. The album included herein contains only a fragment of the song played by Richards ".
