Chester Arthur Burnett (White Station,10 de junio de1910 - Hines, 10 de enero de 1976), conocido como Howlin' Wolf (Lobo Aullador) fue un músico afroamericano, cantante de blues, guitarrista y armonicista.
Su álbum de 1962 Rockin' Chair Album es uno de los más famosos discos de blues, conocido por la ilustración de su cubierta con una mecedora. Este álbum contenía "Wang Dang Doodle," "Goin' Down Slow," "Spoonful" y "The Red Rooster", canciones que sirvieron de base a los repertorios de las bandas inglesas y americanas enamoradas de los blues de Chicago. En 1965 apareció en el show televisivo Shindig junto con los Rolling Stones.
Wolf dio varios conciertos en Chicago en 1972, grabados por la discográfica Chess en su álbum Live and Cookin' y en 1973 produjo su último álbum The Back Door Wolf. Chester Arthur Burnett (White Station, June 10de1910 - Hines, January 10, 1976), known as Howlin 'Wolf was an African American musician, a blues singer, guitarist and harmonica.
His 1962 album "Rockin 'Chair Album" is one of the most famous blues records, known for its cover illustration of a rocker. This album contained "Wang Dang Doodle," "Goin 'Down Slow," "Spoonful" and "The Red Rooster", songs that formed the basis of the repertoire of English and American bands love of Chicago blues. In 1965 appeared in the television show Shindig along with the Rolling Stones.
Wolf gave several concerts in Chicago in 1972,recorded by the Chess label in the album Live and Cookin 'and in 1973 produced his latest album, The Back Door Wolf. Of particular resonance his London Sessions album, recorded in London with a super-star band of British (Eric Clapton, Stevie Winwood, CharlieWatts, Bill Wyman) and his trusty Hubert Sumlin.
Howlin 'Wolf died of cancer in the Veterans Hospital in Hines, Illinois, on January 10, 1976
