LA HABANA - Cubanos que nunca pensaron , que podrían asistir a un recital de los Rolling Stones , hacen largas filas , junto a turistas que viajaron especialmente, horas antes de que abrieran las puertas, de la Ciudad Deportiva de La Habana para el primer gran concierto de una banda de rock en la isla.
Los fanáticos, que comenzaron a congregarse 12 horas antes del show, que comenzará a las 20.30 hora local (0030 GMT), eran custodiados por la policía.
"Me encanta Mick Jagger. Siempre he soñado con esto. No podía dormir sabiendo que estaría aquí", dijo Angela Menéndez, quien llegó de madrugada , a la sede del show y trabaja en un hospital cercano.
Cubanos y visitantes de Argentina , Uruguay, Perú , México, Canadá, Alemania, Colombia y Ecuador , mostraban jeans y camisetas, con los logos de los Stones.
"Es un placer estar en Cuba, daremos un show especial para los cubanos", dijo Jagger, líder de los Stones, poco después de aterrizar en La Habana.
Bob Pover, un consultor de Montreal, dijo que había planeado asistir al recital desde diciembre, cuando escuchó por primera vez que los Stones actuarían en Cuba.
La música de los Stones, fue prohibida por el Gobierno comunista , en las décadas de 1960 y 1970. Sus canciones eran consideradas "diversionismo ideológico".

of the Stones.
"It's a pleasure to be in Cuba, will give a special show for Cubans,"
Jagger, leader of the Stones, shortly after landing in Havana said.
Bob Pover, a consultant from Montreal, said he had planned to attend
the recital since December, when he first heard the Stones act in Cuba.
The music of the Stones, was banned by the communist government in the
1960s and 1970. His songs were considered "ideological deviation".
But Jagger told reporters on his arrival: "Time changes everything". The British band moved to Cuba, 61 containers with 500 tons of scenery, speakers, lights and video screens.
