Los Rolling Stones han anunciado una serie de fechas de sus conciertos de la  gira del 50 aniversario y parece que están haciendo todo lo posible para hacer de 2013 un año para recordar. No sólo la banda estará tocando en el legendario Festival de Glastonbury, por primera vez,  también va a volver a Hyde Park, Londres, el escenario de uno de los conciertos más emblemáticos de la historia de la banda.

 Charlie Watts, sin embargo, no está demasiado enamorado con cualquiera de estos conciertos, como él ha dicho a The Guardian que no le gustan los conciertos al aire libre. "Yo no quiero hacerlo [Glastonbury]. Todo el mundo lo hace. No me gusta tocar al aire libre, y desde luego no me gusta los festivales. Lo peor de tocar al aire libre es cuando el viento sopla, si usted es un baterista, por  el movimiento de  los platillos ... lo que realmente es difícil tocar después. "Por suerte para los fans de los Stones y el resto de la banda son un poco más optimistas sobre la perspectiva de las actuaciones. Ellos podrían enfrentarse con el " gruñón Watts", pero  Mick Jagger, al menos, está ansioso por tocar en  Hyde Park. Los Rolling Stones tocaron por unica vez en 1969, cuando estaban de luto por la muerte de Brian Jones.

"Hyde Park tiene un gran recuerdo para  nosotros, y no podemos pensar en ningún lugar mejor que realizar elk show para nuestros fans del Reino Unido este verano", dijo Mick Jagger. The Rolling Stones have announced a series of tour dates for their 50th anniversary tour and it looks as though they’re pulling out all the stops to make 2013 a year to remember. Not only are the band playing the legendary Glastonbury Festival for the first time, but they will also be returning to Hyde Park, London; the scene of one of the most iconic gigs in the band’s history.

 Charlie Watts, however, won’t be too enamoured with either of these concert dates, as he has told The Guardian that he doesn’t like outdoor gigs. “I don't want to do it [Glastonbury]. Everyone else does. I don't like playing outdoors, and I certainly don't like festivals. The worse thing playing outdoors is when the wind blows, if you're a drummer, because the cymbals move… it really is hard to play then.” Luckily for Stones fans, the rest of the band are a little more upbeat about the prospect of the hugely high profile performances. They might be faced with a slightly grumpy Watts, but Mick Jagger, at least, is looking forward to playing Hyde Park. The Rolling Stones last played there in 1969, when they were mourning the death of Brian Jones.

“Hyde Park holds such great memories for us and we can't think of anywhere better to perform to our UK fans this summer,” said Mick Jagger. Keith Richards also commented “We had such a ball last year and the energy between the band is so good, we can't wait to get back on that stage where the Stones belong.”

La banda anunció hoy su nueva gira por Estados Unidos y Canadá, pero según un medio chileno, visitarían Sudamérica a fines del 2013.

Hace unas horas la veterana agrupación británica anunció el inicio de una nueva gira por diversas ciudades de Estados Unidos, Canadá e Inglaterra, como parte de los festejos por sus 50 años de vigencia en la música.

Por esta parte del mundo, muchos esperaban que Mick Jagger y compañía se pronunciaran hoy sobre su regreso, pero, al parecer, dicho anuncio se hará efectivo en unos meses, tal como lo asegura una nota del sitio web latercera.cl.

Según dicho portal, para mediados de este año está programado el anuncio de la otra mitad de su gira mundial, que incluirá Oceanía, Asia y Latinoamérica, y que por estos días ajusta fechas, tarifas e itinerario.

Asegura que en Chile, por ejemplo, hay dos productoras que ofertaron el retorno de los Stones a Santiago, y que una de ellas reservó el Estadio Nacional de la capital sureña para el jueves 12 de diciembre, una de las fechas tentativas del concierto.

El medio indica, asimismo, que Brasil y Argentina, llevan terreno adelantado en cuanto a las negociaciones para tener a los Stones. En el primer caso, la banda inauguraría el nuevo estadio del club Palmeiras, Arena Palestra, mientras que en Buenos Aires tendría programado ofrecer un par de fechas en el estadio de River Plate.

Desafortunamente, según fuentes consultadas por latercera.cl, la banda exige un pago de entre US$ 4 millones y US$ 5 millones por show, razón por el cual Perú estaría descartado como plaza para una posible visita de los Rolling Stones.

Se espera que en los próximos meses se anuncie la gira sudamericana de manera oficial, y que nuestro país sea uno de los que reciba la visita de "la banda de rock & roll más grande del mundo". Soñar no cuesta nada.

The Rolling Stones would play in South America later this year

The band announced their new tour of the U.S. and Canada, but as half Chilean, would visit South America in late 2013.

A few hours ago the veteran British group announced the start of a new tour of various cities in the United States, Canada and England, as part of celebrations for its 50 year life in music.

Stones Roll into Hyde Park

The Rolling Stones are set to play Hyde Park this summer.

The Rolling Stones will play at the Royal Park on Saturday, July 6 – 44 years to the day since they first played there.

Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Ronnie Wood will play the open air gig ahead of a North American tour, also announced today.

The date – part of the Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park season — comes on the back of the sellout 50 and Counting shows last year.

They will be supported by The Vaccines, The Temper Trap, Gary Clark Jr and King Charles, plus Palma Violets, Tribes, The Boxer Rebellion and more, across three other stages.

Mick Jagger said: “We had such a great time playing the five concerts last year, we want to keep it going! Hyde Park holds such great memories for us and we can’t think of anywhere better to perform to our UK fans this summer.”

Keith Richards added: “We all had such a ball last year, and the energy between the band is so good, we can’t wait to get back on that stage where the Stones belong.”

The 50 and Counting tour kicks off next month and runs until mid-June.

The band will play California concerts in Oakland, San Jose and L.A. before heading to Las Vegas, Anaheim in California, Toronto, Canada, Chicago, Boston in Massachusetts, and Philadelphia.

Mick Jagger expresó su miedo a que llueva en el festival Glastonbury.

Se confirmó la presencia de los Rolling Stones en el festival Glastonbury, un clásico de Inglaterra,  en el reconocido evento que tendrá lugar en junio. Los británicos se suman a muchas bandas de nombre internacional.

Al decir sí, Mick Jagger expresó su miedo en cuanto al clima que pueda llegar a atravesar la ciudad en aquella fecha de junio, haciendo referencia a lo que le pasó a The Who, que tuvo hace poco que tocar bajo un diluvio. “No quiero tocar en Glastonbury del domingo a la noche bajo lluvia torrencial, que es lo que le pasó a The Who”, expresó el cantante.

Pero se trata de Inglaterra y sabemos que las precipitaciones pueden aparecer fácilmente. “Yo estaba mirándolo por televisión (al show de The Who) y mis hijos estaban ahí. Yo estaba al teléfono dicéndoles, ‘es horrible’”, agregó Jagger.

Será la primera vez que el reconocido festival albergue a  la carrera de los Rolling Stones. Y se espera mucho de la banda de 50 años de trayectoria. Es una realidad, que si bien está lejos de opacar la emoción, la lluvia puede resultar algo incómoda a algunos músicos…

El evento que tendrá lugar en junio, además confirmó a Arctic Monkeys, Portishead, The Smashing Pumpkins, Mumford & Sons, The xx, Alabama Shakes, Vampire Weekend, The Hives,  Tame Impala, Dizze Rascal, Primal Scream,  Two Door Cinema Club… y la lista sigue. Esperamos que no les toque mojarse demasiado.

Bill Wyman revela que él se acercó a la policía respecto a las demandas sexuales

Bill Wyman ha revelado cómo se ofreció a hablar con los detectives sobre su relación con Mandy Smith cuando  ella era una adolescente.

Se han celebrado sus 50 aniversario y este año tocarán  en Glastonbury.

Pero un miembro fundador de los Rolling Stones ha sido relegado a un segundo plano, su papel en la historia musical de la banda, a menudo eclipsado por su historia más personal de mujeriego serial - y más notoriamente su matrimonio con una joven de 18 años de edad, cuando él tenía 49 .

Ahora Bill Wyman ha hablado de la relación con Mandy Smith, la mujer con la que empezó a salir cuando ella tenía 13 años, y con la que tuvo relaciones sexuales con ella cuando tenía 14 años, según su versión de los hechos.

Dijo que normalmente evita hablar de su segundo matrimonio porque trastorna a su esposa e hijas "que son de la edad que ella tenía".

Y agregó: "Todos tenemos un muerto en el armario, a menos que seas  taxista en Halifax nadie se entera. Pero si sos una celebridad es diferente . En mi caso fue difundido en el mundo y que no era justo, no lo creo. "

Sin embargo, dijo, desde entonces ha estado en contacto con la policía. Smith se confirmó públicamente hace tres años que tenía 14 años la primera vez que tuvieron relaciones sexuales, y una década antes, su hermana mayor había llamado para que fuera enjuiciado.

"Fui a la policía y me fui a la fiscalía y dijo:" ¿Quieren hablar conmigo? ¿Quiere reunirse conmigo, o algo por el estilo? "Y me dieron un mensaje de vuelta, 'No'", dijo.

"Yo estaba totalmente abierta al respecto".

Wyman hizo esrta revelación en medio de la investigación en curso sobre las denuncias de abuso sexual por parte de celebridades lanzadas por la policía a raíz de las revelaciones de que Jimmy Savile fue uno de los pedófilos más prolíficos de Gran Bretaña.

La semana pasada un hombre de 82 años de edad se convirtió en el último en ser arrestado e interrogado por los detectives de la Operación Yewtree, por acusaciones de que cometió delitos sexuales en el pasado, que eran similares pero no directamente relacionados con los delitos de Savile. Anteriormente había sido interrogado, y fue el hombre XI al ser arrestado.

Scotland Yard dijo que no podía hacer comentarios sobre la divulgación de Wyman.

El fin del matrimonio de Wyman y Smith fué sólo una parte de una vida personal enredada que vio a su hijo de su primer matrimonio, Stephen, "comprometerse" con la madre de Smith,

Wyman ahora  esta en gran parte alejado de los Stones a pesar de que se reunió con ellos en el O2 Arena de Londres el año pasado con motivo del 50 aniversario de la banda, a la que calificó de " decepcionante en realidad".

"Sólo hice dos canciones", dijo. No ha tomado parte en la gira de conciertos posteriores.

La investigación sobre delitos sexuales a raíz del escándalo de Savile es ahora una de las mayores investigaciones de Scotland Yard.

El arresto más reciente, el pasado jueves, un nombre de 82-años de edad, detenido en una comisaría de policía de Londres y posteriormente liberado bajo fianza.

Otros detenidos aún están en libertad bajo fianza Max Clifford, el consultor de relaciones públicas, Freddie Starr, el comediante, Dave Lee Travis el DJ, y Jim Davidson el cómico - todos niegan las acusaciones.

Gary Glitter, de 69 años, cuyo verdadero nombre es Paul Gadd, quien también fue detenido, todavía no ha hecho una declaración.

La semana pasada, Wilfred De'Ath, un ex productor de la BBC, que fue arrestado el año pasado por una acusación de asalto indecente contra una niña en los años 60, fue absuelto después de que la Fiscalía de la Corona decidió ino nterponer ningún cargo.

Bill Wyman reveals he approached police regarding sex claims

Bill Wyman has revealed how offered to speak to detectives about his notorious relationship with Mandy Smith when she was a teenager.

They have celebrated their 50th anniversary and later this year will play at Glastonbury.

But one founder member of the Rolling Stones has been largely relegated to the background, his part in the band’s musical history often overshadowed by his more personal history of serial womanising - and most notoriously his marriage to an 18-year-old when he was 49.

Now Bill Wyman has spoken of relationship with Mandy Smith, the woman he started dating when she was 13, and with whom he had sex with when she was 14, according to her version of events.

In fact, he discloses in an interview in next week’s Seven magazine, he has spoken to the police and the Crown Prosecution Service about the relationship.

Wyman’s marriage to Smith collapsed bitterly in 1991 - they divorced in 1993 - and the two do not still have contact. However in the interview he defended his relationship with Smith, which had the approval of her mother.

“It was very emotional and special at the time,” he said. “It wasn’t how it was reported to be and it was the only time it ever happened in my life. A lot of people understood, but a lot didn't, and the media certainly didn't. They treated me like crap.”

Wyman is now married to Suzanne Accosta his third wife, with whom he has three daughters, Katherine, 18, Jessica, 17 and Matilda, 14. He married his first wife, Dianne, in 1959, but their marriage ended in divorce in 1969.

He said that he normally avoids speaking about his second marriage because it upsets his wife and daughters “who are the age she was”.

He added: “We all have a skeleton in the cupboard, it’s just if you’re taxi driver in Halifax no one ever hears about it. But if you are celebrity every one does. In my case it was publicised to the world and that wasn’t really fair, I don’t think.”

However, he said, he has since been in touch with police. Smith herself confirmed publicly three years ago that she was 14 when they first had sex, and a decade earlier her older sister had called for him to be prosecuted.

“I went to the police and I went to the public prosecutor and said, 'Do you want to talk to me? Do you want to meet up with me, or anything like that?’ and I got a message back, 'No’,” he said.

“I was totally open about it.”

Wyman’s disclosure comes amid the ongoing investigation into allegations of sexual abuse by celebrities launched by police in the wake of the revelations that Jimmy Savile was one of Britain’s most prolific paedophiles.

Last week an 82-year-old man became the latest to be arrested and questioned by detectives from Operation Yewtree, over allegations that he committed sexual offences in the past, which were similar to but not directly related to Savile’s offences. He had previously been questioned under caution, and was the eleventh man to be arrested.

Scotland Yard said it could not comment on Wyman’s disclosure.

The end of Wyman’s marriage to Smith was only part of a tangled personal life which saw his son from his first marriage, Stephen, become engaged to Smith’s mother

Wyman is now largely estranged from the Stones although he did reunite with them at the O2 arena in London last year to mark the band’s 50th anniversary, which he describe as “bit disappointing really”.

“They only let me do two songs,” he said. He has not taken part in the subsequent concert tour.

The investigation into sex offences in the wake of the Savile scandal is now one of Scotland Yard’s biggest investigations.

The most recent arrest, last Thursday, saw the unnamed 82-year-old arrested at a London police station and released later on bail.

Others arrested and still on police bail are Max Clifford, the public relations consultant, Freddie Starr, the comedian, Dave Lee Travis the DJ, and Jim Davidson the comedian - who all deny any wrongdoing.

Gary Glitter, 69, whose real name is Paul Gadd, who was also arrested, has not yet made a statement.

Last week Wilfred De’Ath, a former BBC producer, who was arrested last year over an allegation of indecent assault on a girl in the 60s, was cleared after the Crown Prosecution Service decided to bring no charges.
